the first box that was sent, one did not work so I had to ask for a replacement. the replacement process was easy.
the actual product I love. you can adjust your texture on the bottom. i currently do not have any complaints except for the size and the style/shape. but they get the job done, and i won't give them up, merry christmas to my friends i love.

Actually these grinders are great. The salt grinder applys a litte more salt than I prefer, but the pepper grinder is spot on. The price is excellent compared to even some of the manual grinders. These are nice grinders. They require 4 AA batteries each. They have a light, so that you can see how much you are putting on something. They don't put out a lot of salt or pepper at a time. So if you like it heavy, you'll have to grind for quite a while. Worth the money though.Customer Review: Works well but pepper is not coarse enough for me

Fast, solid, convenient. However, the coarsest grind setting is still finer than I prefer for pepper (although for most people I think it's fine, and it's not finer than other pepper mills). It's not quite as coarse as cracked pepper, such as one might use on steak au poivre.
