Customer Review: A grand tip-off

Well, at 79 cents per charger (which provides 1 liter of soda), it works out that it costs exactly twice as much as buying a 2 liter bottle of club soda from our local supermarket (80 cents). That ignores the $5.58 per pack of 10 shipping and handling charge.
I called Isi to find a local retailer, and the customer service rep promised me that 'Linens and Things' routinely stocked them. A very helpful assistant at my local store had never heard of the items, and nor had the store computer she used to try to look up the item.
So, it's not even worth giving the Isi soda syphon to goodwill, as a likely recipient will be worse off than if they buy club soda in an unlikely to be recycled PET 2 liter bottle.
Note to self: Another good idea that didn't work out.

Don't buy these! You can only fill the siphon 3/4 full of water with these chargers, or the siphon will spray water everywhere when you attemt to charge it. So you only get 3/4 of a liter of soda per cartridge, instead of the full liter you're supposed to get. Also, the soda produced is very flat, and customer service for this product does not respond after repeated attempts to contact.
Purchase the Leland 8g soda gas instead, it seems to produce more bubbles an the siphon won't spray unexpectedly, no matter how full you fill it.

it was what we ordered but VERY poorly packaged, many of the chargers came out of their boxes in shipping, and were ruined subsequently. the people that ship these cartridges should package their goods better, i.e., with bubble rap or those plastic pouches, not with plain old brown paper.Customer Review: Weak soda

The soda dispenser looked great in the picture. The taste of the "carbonated" water was awful and it wasn't very carbonated. To add insult to injury, when I went to return my items I could return the pitcher, but not the cartridges.Customer Review: Buy this locally

I purchased these cartridges as part of a gift which was ultimately declined. Although Amazon will ship to you, they will not accept a return. This makes no sense to me.
