Customer Review: Takes Awhile, But Nice Pillow

I got diagnosed with (fairly minor) TMJ and bought this pillow rather than spending $250 just to see a TMJ specialist. Also, my mom has been using buckwheat pillows for years and swears by them.
I have to be honest, the pillow is crunchy and wasn't very comfortable for the first week or two. Husband would crack jokes regularly about the crunchiness and me not being able to hear him, and it was not uncommon for me to wake myself with the noise when I shifted in the night. The good news was, my TMJ and neck felt better right away, so I stuck with it. I removed some of the hulls after a few days, and that helped. There are A LOT of hulls in this thing, it's pretty full when you get it.
After about 3 weeks of using this, I am now pretty much used to it. It really is more supportive and comfortable once you get used to it. A few times this last week I used hubby's regular pillow after he left the bed early: Every time it felt strange, squishy, and unsupportive.
So, it takes some getting used to and was weird for me. But, it really helped my sore neck and TMJ. And you do get used to it and eventually consider it more comfortable than a regular pillow. After a bit the noise won't wake you up, but the jokes will continue until the cows come home.
