Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Zojila 'Rohan' Dish Rack Drainer Utensil holder and Drain board, Stainless Steel Self DrainingCustomer Review: Gayle Summary: 5 StarsI was looking for a nice quality dish drainer for my newly remodeled kitchen. I coudn't believe this drainer had so many reviews! But now that I have the drainer on my new corian counter, I too want to rave over the drainer. It is made really nice and looks so much better than a big plastice mat and drainer. It is actually a feature in the kitchen. It arrived fast and was packaged really nicely. I love the way it stands on little leggs and it drains perfectly into the sink. Well worth the cost!
Customer Review: Functional, Stylish and Sturdy Summary: 5 StarsThis looks good on the counter and the self draining works. It easily dismantles into two pieces and fits under the sink so I don't have to surrendur precious counter space.
It also passed the most rigorous durability test available, my three year old. During one of those classic moments when I had to get the telephone and was distracted and my toddler decided it was a good idea to take the pots and the dish drainer and bang them together. He was not able to demolish it and I got there quick enough that there were no dents.
While I can't say this test was as comprehensive as consumer reports after living with a toddler I have learned to value products that withstand our real life durability testing. I speak from experience my cell phone did not survive being tossed that in the open washing machine while I was loading it with laundry so when I have a product that survives the escapades of my favorite little guy I take notice.
Great product well worth it.
Customer Review: Near perfection, relatively speaking Summary: 4 StarsI needed a larger stainless dish rack and wanted to do away with plastic trays forever. But if you've also been doing dish rack research, you know that a good rack is hard to find! Initially I was drawn to the SimpleHuman line, as I have one of their stainless soft close garbage cans, and LOVE it. But after seeing some of the racks in Target and other stores, I changed my mind due to the amount of plastic accenting their otherwise fine designs.
Enter the Zojila rack. Hoo, it's expensive! But on the plus size, it's spacious (2 adults in my household) enough for a day's worth of dishes, sturdy enough to withstand dish pyramids, clears the counter by 2 inches, drains water as described, is easy to clean, and looks BOTH practical and sophisticated - I mean, how "stunning" can a dish rack look, really? Although I am still waiting for the day when someone comes over and gushes over it, like I would if I saw it in someone else's kitchen for the first time. But I'm a nerd.
I'm very satisfied with my rack and am looking no further. However, a few cons made me give 4 stars instead of 5, mostly having to do with initial set up. Specifically, I had to do some metal fabricating to get the rack properly balanced on the drain board. Further pounding was required to fashion a slope so that water would drain off the board. Also, like another reviewer, I have lost a small glass to the end that has a wide opening - although this can be prevented by moving the utensil rack in front of the opening.
All in all, I am quite pleased and would buy this rack again. Just be ready to receive yours with a rubber hammer.
Customer Review: self draining works Summary: 3 Starsbut the dish rack itself is small, has a large space open on the side (I already lost a precious small glass that fell thru and smashed)and just doesn't hold all that much. It seems to be designed for dishes and glasses but I use bowls, and lids, and pots and all kinds of stuff. I prefer the classic style of drainer.
On the other hand, stainless steel is certainly better looking and doesn't grow mold like plastic does and the draining part works quite well as long as I check to be sure it is hanging over the sink first.
Customer Review: Finally, a great dish drain! Summary: 5 StarsI replaced my dish drains all the time - the wood ones were never big enough or the right shape, the cheapie plastic ones become cloudy and disgusting, the chrome ones got rusty, and most of the stainless ones had a plastic pan anyway. I was never happy until I found this one - it has all the features I was looking for - it holds a lot, looks great, and is smartly designed. Several visitors have commented on it. My mother was so impressed, she purchased herself one the next day. Worth the pricetag.
