Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Zojila 'Rohan' Dish Rack Drainer Utensil holder and Drain board, Stainless Steel Self Draining

Customer Review: Best dish rack ever! We love it!
Summary: 5 Stars

This stainless steel dish rack and drain board are the best that we've ever seen. The price is high, but well worth it for the quality that you'll receive. We are very happy with it. I was a bit concerned at first that my pots and pans wouldn't stay in it due to the open design. I was worried for nothing. This rack holds everything and anything with style. It has enough weight to the rack, that it holds trays upright to save space without tipping. The drain board is high enough that it fits over the lip of our Kohler sink with high rim. The board easily wipes clean. One suggested improvement to manufacturer - add glassware hooks somewhere around outside edge of rack to fit glasses and sippy cups over to dry. We highly recommend this dish rack if you're tired of replacing cheap plastic or rubber designs.

Customer Review: A Dish Rack That Inspires
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this dish rack because I didn't want to buy yet one more plastic item that would just last a few years then end up in the landfill. I knew I could keep it my whole life, perhaps even pass it down to future generations. Little did I know I would find inspiration in its design. This rack gleams on my countertop like fine sculpture. Instead of hiding it, I point it out to my friends. That someone would put so much thought and care into the humble dish rack is inspiring: we can all make a difference in our own small ways.
I choose not to own a dishwasher, so I can attest that doing dishes is a pleasure with this rack. Dishes dry faster because the rack holds them absolutely upright and separate. The rack is large enough to accommodate pots, and can even securely hold a 16"x22" cutting board because of the angled slats. I was a little skeptical about the drain tray because it has no rim. But the elegant curvature of the tray allows water to flow exactly where it should, into the sink. You know how cheap racks get slimy feet? No problem here: the feet of this rack are enclosed within tubes that protrude up from the tray.
This is the best dish rack ever, and if you think it's expensive consider that you'll save money in the long run because it's the last dish rack you'll ever buy for yourself. Of course, if you're gift shopping, this would be a perfect symbol of eternal friendship and love. I hope you and yours enjoy it as much as I do.

Customer Review: Perfect!

Love it! Small format but holds just enough. Rack drains well into sink, no standing water. Looks appropriate in my contemporary kitchen.

Customer Review: Great product, thoughtful design
Summary: 5 Stars

Why is it that no other company can come up with something as well-designed? Once they test it in a "lab," can't they see that it doesn't work well? We've tried other lines, from the more expensive Simplehuman (great trash cans, bad dish racks) to generic racks on mats, and this rack is much better by far. With the other racks, one basic problem was that the tines/slots would not accept anything beyond certain types of flat plates--not too big, not too small, not too deep, etc. and to work around it, one would have to try something like use two slots per bowl, or lean it up against a side. Somehow, this rack system has been able to take anything that we've put on it, from deep bowls stacked one per slot, all the way to large service plates. It seems so simple, and yet it clearly is not.

There are some other nice design flourishes that have not been mentioned in the other reviews: the curved part of the rack where all the plates are stacked is not a simple curve, with a continuous arc around a radial point. It levels off much like those curves that slowly reach a "limit." On the other open side of the rack, this curve is matched, making for a pleasing visual symmetry. Also, the rack is elevated, making it ideal for granite countertops, since granite eventually absorbs water if water is standing for too long, such as when it gets trapped under a mat.

After using it for about a year, there are only a few downsides. The silverware rack can sometimes slip off the rack, and since it's open on the sides, items can slip out. Also, the open side of the rack is on the smaller side, so there isn't a lot of room for mugs, irregular items, etc. Still, we are quite pleased with this item and recommend it highly.

Customer Review: Fantastic, streamlined dish rack!
Summary: 5 Stars

We just redid our kitchen with some stainless appliances and accents, and I wanted a sturdy but small stainless dish rack to match. Our sink has an integrated drainboard, so we didn't use the drainboard that came with it. I was very pleased with this dish rack. It's small but fits a lot of items, it has no plastic so it doesn't get gunky like some of the cheaper dish racks, and the plates fit very well in the vertical plate slots. Overall, it has a beautiful design that is also very functional. LOVE IT! Everyone has been asking me where we got it because it is so attractive.
