We have been using the ZeroWater system for quite awhile now. The water tastes great for a short time and then tastes terrible very fast. We have replaced the filters several times with no problems. We generally get the filters from Home Depot or directly from ZeroWater. We found these through Amazon for a few dollars cheaper with no shipping and decided to order them. I replaced my filters today and upon opening the new filters that were shipped to me I found that the styrofoam containers they come in were not sealed at all. When I took out the filters they did not have the plastic seal over the top that protects them from contamination. The filters did not look bad or have an odor to them but they definately did not look right. Very disappointed. Be careful when ordering anything.Customer Review: It's confirmed today

Mid October last year, I ordered a package of 4 filters from Amazon. Few days later, the filters arrived with the box was opened and each individual filter was in opened (almost) clear no-brand plastic bag with water drops inside. At the time, I didn't return or complain to Amazon because I thought all filters were rinse and packaged that way from manufacture. Until last week, I was about to reorder the filter and found few reviews say Amazon sold used filters. I switched to order from another online store to see the different. The shipping take a bit longer than expected (1 week). But the box is in good shape and sealed with sticker. Inside the box all filers are individual put in manufacturer sealed packages. So, it seems Amazon sold me used filters at the time as well!Customer Review: Overpriced Junk

This makes the water taste delicious!!!! For two weeks. Maybe it is because the tap water where I live reads at 978 on the zero water tester, but these filters don't last very long at all. Then, the water begins to develop a pleasant, slightly citrus-y taste. The next time you refill the pitcher, that citrus-y flavor has turned into an overwhelming fishy-lemony-dirty-sock flavor. It is absolutely disgusting. Vomit inducing. Really, you are lucky if you notice the slightly lemon precursor - sometimes it skips that step, or else I've used that water to make tea or coffee.
Just so disgusting and expensive. Gross, gross, gross.

Amazon shipped me a pitcher that was broken and clearly had been returned by someone else. They told me they would refund the return postage, but didn't. They owe me $10.05. I was very unhappy. I also ordered 4 filters. If I returned them, I would have to pay the shipping both ways. I traveled 40 miles at least to a Target store. I bought the pitcher and am very happy I could use the filters. The pitcher is great. No thanks to amazon. I won't be shopping there any time soon. I received this product and replaced the current filters... We were carfull we've been doing this foor a couple years. The original reading was about 125 - 130. When we replaced the filters it went down to 90 - 95... After a couple of days same reading, we tried the second set of filters and it was down to 3 - 5...
