The Zero filters work well but for only a short period of time for good tasting water. I don't think I can justify the expense of $54.00 for 4 filters for about 2 weeks per filter. ZeroWater ZR-006 Replacement Filter, 4-Pack Never would have considered using this system if our local bottled water company had not increased their prices & added a delivery fuel sur-charge. We are on a well, here in the boondocks & although the water tastes great, there is some sedimate from limestone caverns beneath our property.....can't blame the bottled water company prices especially with our new socialist administration!!! Zero mentions about 3-5 months for a filter change in their advertising....this stretches it a bit. We are a two person household living in Florida (hot) and use an average amount of water....ice cube trays, drinking, cooking, etc. Get about two months from the filters...after that A HORRIBLE ODOR from the water! Fortunately the WATER TESTER provided by ZERO with their original water filter package lets you know well in advance of any problems....but you must use it on a regular basis...otherwise the water quality will catch up very quickly (witthin a day or two) and cause the odor, etc. They have excelent tech-support & they all speck ENGLISH!!~!!!!!Basically the system saves us about 50% versus home delivery. 4 filters for the price of 2 where I usually shop. I thought this was such a great deal until I have purschased this product 2 or 3 times and each time I get only 2 of the 4 filters that are new. Two of them when you take them out of the box read zero with first batch through...the other 2 usually read about 30. Not a good price if you are only getting two that you can use. You do not want to run water through it until you are ready to use it and then by the time you use it is too late to return the product. BAD DEAL!
As long as you get a new filter it is AWESOME I cannot believe what a wonderful product it is. I loved to drink water before but now I cannot get enough!!!!

Rather than judging how long they last by days, weeks, etc., it should be on how many gallons you filter through them. Two of us have them last 30-40 days tops, refilling the pitcher, once to twice a day. Flavor suffers before the stink starts. DON'T just leave them on the counter. Refrigeration is needed to help with longevity. We've been using Zero Water filters with the pitcher for over a year. It's pain to always be refilling it but worth the improved water quality. Even with an expensive whole house filtration sytem we still get visible grit in our farm well water out of the faucets. The filters are definately worth the effort/cost.Customer Review: Works but Too Pricey

This system filters the water just fine. The problem is the filters do not last too long- need a new one within two weeks of use for one ( sometimes two ) person. This adds up to too much money spent when comparing to bottled water or other filters. Also the meter stops working before too long, no matter how well you take care of it, and costs over $23 to replace. I am looking for a different system.
