I use the table top water filtration system not the cooling unit. My filters last about two months, maybe a bit longer. We only change it when the water becomes unpalatable and since we live in Arizona it doesn't take too long. It never starts to smell at all and I wash the whole system out every time I change them just because it makes sense to do so. I have to re-fill the unit two to three times every day as we drink a lot of water in our family. This system is saving us a small fortune on groceries so I'll never go back to using bottled water again.Customer Review: you get what you pay for

The first time I installed the filters on my zero water system I didn't notice there was a leak...I hadn't screwed them in correctly. As a result some of the water was bypassing the filters and I had a reading of about 200. My son noticed the problem and we reinstalled them. Then it worked perfectly! We really did have zero water. I loved the convenience. Yes it may be more expensive than bottle water, but I don't have to lug bottles of water around or find placed to store them. great filter system; i have used others, but this is the best; not a big water drinker, but this water really does taste good; use mainly for pets and coffee/tea. filters are hard to find - but have always been in stock at amazon. price is the same as target - but my target does not usually have 4 packs and i have to drive an hour to get. so thanks to amazon and free shipping great deal for good productCustomer Review: Outstanding water quality

I bougt this product 3 months ago at Target .
We use almost 1.5 Galon water everyday . Water taste excellent and tdz measure quality is still 0 (zero).I dont understand why people vote very low rating here . Also , I checked the Ph level after filtered it is 7.6 which is suppos to be for standarts . I recommend this item who cares water taste and health .

My water is very hard and does not taste good. With the ZeroWater system I have great tasting water and I can use my own glass and re-useable bottles. The filters are expensive but I will keep buying them because I save on buying bottled water and only buy now when I travel and can not refill from the home despenser.
