Just had my first pot of green tea and it is superb. We just got an incredible tea store in town, and this will let me enjoy my new varities much more often than I would have with the old fashioned kettle and timer. Plus it takes out the risk of having a bitter pot.
Thank you so much for the advice on the prongs, will make sure to keep it dry. And it is a shame that one of the reviewers gave this one star. I was quite surprised to see that a "tea lover" could think that tea leaves could be soaked overnight. Please take that review from whence it comes.

This is fairly easy to use, I have it set up in my office and use it more than once, daily.
The temperature brewing really does make difference. Every cup of tea comes out perfect.
I would recommend to anyone who likes tea, and I always recommend looking on Amazon for it because the original price is way too high. I couldn't believe the deal I struck on Amazon.
My one caution is that it really does need daily cleaning if used that much, and that is really the only minor downfall, lots of parts to make sure are clean.

This is a superb product that I bought for my husband. He loves specialty teas and this is the best way to brew them. Fact, efficient and wonderful. The water heats to the correct temperature of the type of tea being brewed. Then the basket drops into the water and steeps for the appropriate amount of minutes. Much better than just heating up water in a microwave or on the stove. You really can taste the difference. Easy to clean also. The only thing I would add is a warming tray for the tea pot.Customer Review: Absolutely Satisfied!!

*** I thought about this a while before I made the purchase because of the price....but I am so happy to have this in the kitchen. The tea is brewed as you like it and there are many options available to customize the strength of the brew, the type of tea used, etc. It's quick and the clean up is easy. I love it.

RECEIVED AS A WEDDING GIFT 2 YEARS AGO, AND HAVE SINCE BOUGHT 3 ZARAFINA TEA MAKERS AS GIFTS FOR OTHERS. WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! WE HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH OURS, AND I USE IT MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY. IT MAKES A PERFECT CUP OF TEA. NOW I CAN REGULARLY ENJOY GREEN TEA, WHICH IS PARTICULARILY HARD TO GET RIGHT. I'VE USED OTHER TEA MAKERS BEFORE-BOTH IN ENGLAND AND AUSTRALIA, WHERE THEY ARE VERY COMMON, AND THE ZARAFINA IS HANDS DOWN BETTER THAN ANYTHING ELSE OUT THERE.
