Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Wolfgang Puck WPEKF015 Dual-Blade Electric Carving Knife with Rotating Handle

Customer Review: So far, so good
Summary: 4 Stars

I have only used this knife a couple times but it works good, no problems.

Customer Review: Safety Switch Too Hard to Hold Down
Summary: 3 Stars

This is a nice knife, the blade length is great, as is the rotating feature. My one complaint, and it's a big one, I am afraid, is that the safety switch on the top is too hard to hold down. I got this knife because I injured my left arm and wanted to be able to cut things using my right hand with very little assistance from my left. Unfortunately, I have to try and depress the 'dead man's' switch with both thumbs, because I couldn't put enough pressure on it with one thumb to keep the knife going, let alone have any hope of guiding it through neat slices! I thoroughly mangled my roast with first attempt at using this knife. I may have to try and hold down the switch with tape or a rubber band of some kind, though I know that is NOT RECOMMENDED!

Customer Review: Does the job but be careful
Summary: 3 Stars

two sets of blades are nice. It cuts well. The rotation feature is okay but not really necessary if you arent wearing casts on your wrists. I used it so far to carve one turkey and one duck. The blades kept coming out or separating at the tip. Not fun to handle the blades in mid-carve, too slippery. I got a modest cut carving my Duck for the Rose Bowl. Not sure its worth the extra money but this is where we find ourselves today - always overcharge, always underperform.

Customer Review: Wolfgang Puck Electric Knife
Summary: 3 Stars

Very versatile and well designed, but at 115 volts not suitable outside the USA (I am in New Zealand - 230 volts)and I had to purchase a step-down transformer. I found the knife under-powered and a bit large for most tasks. The Australian made Breville is not as versatile but more powerful and easier to handle.

Customer Review: Disappointing
Summary: 3 Stars

I give this a generous 3 stars. We purchased this to replace a defective knife with plastic interior...this knife is no different. It seems quality materials and craftsmanship are a thing of the past. I don't want light weight, I want a kitchen tool that will last forever.
