The canner works great. My wife and I bottled 51 pints of chicken that we found on sale for $1.19 per pound instead of paying around $3.00 per pound at the savings club store we shop at. Because of the large capacity of the 30 qt cooker, we were able to cook and preserve the chicken in just a few hours.
I love the fact that the canner/pressure cooker has no seal that will have to be replaced time and again over the years. It sure is nice to have the food we preserved in storage.
This is a great buy that we will enjoy for years tocome.

This canner exceeded my expectations. The casting is of an excellent quality and the handles are beefy, sure to last and last. I especially like the fact that it is gasketless. The metal to metal seal works perfectly. The only gripes I have are these: canning jars with a slightly square shape to them will only fit 12 one quart jars and occasionally the lid on this thing gets stuck. The switch to a more rounded jar should fix one problem and the directions tell you how to fix the other. All in all an excellent canner. I recommend it!Customer Review: All American pressure cooker

The All American cooker/ canner is a great product. It is the only pressure canner I would recommend. The only problem is the gauge does not read correctly. Maybe this is a elevation problem? But the weight takes care of the incorrect reading of the gauge. The 30 quart size which I purchased is very large and is able to cut the production time down greatly (because you are able to do so many at a time).
This is a great product! And Amazon is the only place to get it (unless you what to spent up to three times as much).

I can confirm what others have written here. This is a classic design, unlikely to be superceded. Unlike pressure cookers that require rubber gaskets to make the seal, this canner will not wind up in your garbage any time soon.
You might be interested to know that some governments have outlawed such large canners for home use. If you would like to help ensure your family's survival in hard times your grandchildren might thank you for the investment.

I received my new #930 in late September '09. Having just returned from a sucessful tuna fishing charter, I had lots of canning to do. Following the directions in the box, the first 21 half pint jars of fresh "ahi" turned out pertectly all done in one batch.
I was a bit dismayed at first when the pressure guage was bent in shipping. No problem, Wisconsin Foundry shipped a new one immediately! Looks like it will last forever...totally happy!
