Customer Review: Great when mounted with good hardware

The drywall anchors included with the rack are insufficient for a sturdy mount. Further, the mounting brackets are 30" on center, not 32", which would make for solid mounting directly into wall studs. However, with one bracket mounted to a stud, and the other bracket secured with (not-supplied) toggle bolts (the ones that spring out on the other side of the drywall and are then drawn tight by the bolt), the rack is then steady enough for heavy use.
Good rack, good price, but get two toggle bolts for mounting.
Description of Whitney Design Wall Mount Telescoping Indoor Drying Rack
With space saving in mind, this WHITNEY DESIGN(#5003) indoor clothing dryer is wall mountable and telescopes out from the wall to a distance of 14.5". When not in use, it can be retracted back to the wall. It measures 31.5" wide and is made of plastic. There are 8 adjustable drying lines that are made of plastic covered wire. It ships fully assembled. The color of the rack is white to match most any interior color.Great for delicates, towels, swimwear, and winter accessories, this collapsible rack from The Clothes Line provides ample drying room without taking up floor space. Once attached to the wall with the included hardware, the rack telescopes in and out, providing one or as many as seven hanging bars. Not intended for heavy items, the unit is more than handy for lightweight ones plus, the plastic-coated steel bars don't snag clothes.
