I already had one of these bags and needed another to carry items to and from another part of the building where I am employeed. The items are a combination of soft and hard structures so I needed something sturdy enough to stand up, but light enough to be carried without too much difficulty with the added weight of the contents. This bag is perfect for the job because it holds it shape - there is a wire in the seam around the top and the material is just stiff enough to keep its shape when the bag is opened - and it is strong, roomy and light weight. I bought a second one to use in my car because I don't have a trunk and things slide around. Now I use it to hold grocery bags and any other items that need stored and/or carried in and out of the car.

Description of Whitney Design 2213 Rectangular Krush Storage Container in Natural Color
When the need arises for a container that is "flat" when not in use and can be expanded in seconds into a large tote or storage container, then this rectangular "Krush" container from WHITNEY DESIGN(#2213) is the perfect solution. Made from cotton canvas with a waterproof vinyl lining, this container folds flat for storage. When opened, it measures 13" high x 11" wide x 22" long. Convenient carrying straps are located at the top of the container on both sides.Lined with waterproof vinyl, this natural canvas rectangular container serves a multitude of purposes. Tote to the swimming pool to carry home wet suits and towels, use in a child's room for storing toys, or use it to carry painting supplies to and from the studio. Unlike some of Whitney Design's pop-up laundry hampers with internal springs, the Krush container features one wire frame at the top and one at the bottom, so that it must be pressed flat for storage and pulled upright to fill. There's just enough rigidity in the vinyl lining to keep the bag open while adding items.
Two long cloth-strap handles allow the bag to be conveniently carried whether empty or full. The handles are long enough for both to be held in one hand, leaving the other hand free to open doors, etc. Fully extended, the container measures 11 by 22 by 13 inches, and any dirt on the bag can be sponged off with a little soap and water. --Ann Bieri
