Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of WalkFit Orthotics Size E

Customer Review: Broad claims by manufacturer
Summary: 2 Stars

Walkfit is right, their orthotics are much cheaper than what other orthotics cost. Why? Because most orthotics are custom-made by a licensed physical therapist or orthopedic doctor; molds or impressions are taken of each foot and then an orthotic is designed based on your specific needs. Custom orthotics are expensive but they pin-point what adjustments are needed within a "correction matrix." The impressions or molds tell the specialist how much weight you put on your heels, your toes, what the height and stability of your arches are, what your bio-mechanical "strike" is like (foot hitting the ground), how flexible your ankles are and if you pronate, suppinate, etc. All of this is especially important because a good number of people who have orthopedic problems may have feet that are different; one ankle may "roll" while the other one may not, you may shift weight onto one foot more than the other when you run, etc. Walkfit can't guarantee to fix these problems because they have no diagnosis process. Custom orthotics will cost you between $200-$600; but you'll have permanent, perfectly structured molds of your feet, and the specs for the re-manufacture of new orthotics, and re-ordering new orthotics is generally not that expensive.

Walk fit are an orthotic designed under the assumption that everyone has essentially the same feet, similar problem(s) and that an arch support and cushioning will solve most foot problems. In some cases they may be right. Walkfit probably does work for some people and my guess is that they are those people in need of mild correction or simple arch support. Don't be surprised if a class action lawsuit gets filed against the makers of Walkfit. Their claims are too broad, too specific and too good to be true. If you want a second opinion, check out what the American Podiatric Medical Association has to say. I bought these after watching an infomercial and wore them for two weeks. My back hurt and I went back to my custom orthotics. At $19.95 you can give Walkfit orthotics a shot, but buyer beware.

Customer Review: Never order anything with pottersgifts
Summary: 1 Stars

Order via Potters Gifts, I never receive the item. The item shows that it was delivered but I never receive it. Email them to inform them of the issue, and they wanted me to track it down. This is a small ticket item, under $20, it is too petty and they stated that they cannot trust me. Unlike other companies they would resend the item and track the lost item. Never order anything with pottersgifts.

Customer Review: Horrible and Total Waste of Money
Summary: 1 Stars

Horribly uncomfortable and unable to wear for any length of time. Hard plastic cuts into feet and arches ached dreadfully after walking for only 5 minutes. Made second attempt to wear them days later and the pain was worse as my foot never recovered from the first attempt. Padding the hard plastic by wearing thick socks did not help. Flaws also noted in plastic.

Customer Review: I am neutral on the product and very dissatisfied with the company
Summary: 2 Stars

I can tell no difference in my foot pain from wearing these insoles. It could just be that they don't work for me. My feet don't hurt less and they don't hurt more. I have tried them while walking on the street, on the treadmill, and on the eliptical. Normally I wouldn't even bother to write a review, I would just chalk it up to another junky product like so much other garbage on the market out there.

My main beef is with their customer service people. Of course they barely speak intelligible english but that's par for the course. I have called twice and they have been extremely rude both times. They charged me more than I expected and had calculated for the product and could not give me a decent explanation. They were so rude and spoke right over me and never gave me an opportunity to get a word in edge wise. Honestly, even if the product had worked well, they'd never get business from me again.

One piece of advice - "Expedited Shipping" to these people means about two weeks. I don't recommend it.

They are okay..Not as good as I expected from what I have seen on TV.
They slip in my sneakers and when they do they hurt my feet.
