I was introduced to the Vinturi Aerator while visiting friends in Colorado last month. I ordered one on line to see if I really could tell the difference between aerated wine and non-aerated wine. The difference is quite pronounced, especially in red wines. The wine aerator has become a permanent fixture in our home and it is used almost daily. Although the instructions say the aerator can be washed in the dishwasher, I do not find this necessary. I rinse it in hot water after it has been used and I let it air dry before putting it away.Customer Review: Take the taste test!!

Everyone who opens and drinks a bottle of red wine needs a Vinturi Essential Wine Aerator! If you're not going to decant an entire bottle, but are serving by the glass, this is the device for you! Do a taste test with your friends. Pour an ounce of wine in a glass that hasn't been aerated, then pour an ounce thru the Vinturi and take a sip of each--preferably the Vinturi glass second. Quelle differance!! It sells itself! There is also an aerator available for white wine--I haven't purchased it yet but it's next on my list!Customer Review: This thing works.

My wife and I drink wine quite a bit and we received the Vinturi as a gift from a family member that manages a wine store. I really did think that this was simply a waste of time. I was totally wrong, it really makes the wine open up and taste better in my opinion. Some people have reviews that say that wine comes out the air holes and they do if you don't use it correctly. Once you get used to pouring into it you'll be fine.
Totally recommend you try it out, I only drink red wine and I just love the Vinturi.

Believe it or not this device does bring out more flavor from your wine. And despite the fact that this is classified as being for red wines only we use it for whites too. It works fine on both. If there is a drawback to this device at all is that its a little more frutzing around to pouring a glass of vino and that it tends to drip after removing it from over your glass. You have to drag it over the lip of your glass to wipe off the last drops before moving it away. All that being true, we still use it all the time.Customer Review: Wow!

This little gadget in incredible! My sister visited a winery in Wisconsin and came back raving about this thing. I ordered it from my favorite place and got it today. I bought a bottle of red wine to try it out. (Despite getting a wine appreciation book for Christmas, I do not like any red because of the tannins.) Holy cow! This little thing makes all the difference in the world!!! The tannins are diminished and the wine is so good!! I can't wait to see what effect it has on a white. A bargain for the money!
