My wife and I love great food and wine. We are members of several wine clubs and have a nice cellar. When we saw the Vinturi, we at first thought it was a lark. many of the wines in cellar are young and have to be opened and decanted before we can enjoy them, so we gave this Wine Aerator a try. I must say the we are very impressed. It has removed the heavy tanins present as effectively as decanting, but without the hassle. Additionally, the Vinturi has a very fine screen that is effective in catching any sediment in the wine. This is a must have for any true wine enthusiast.Customer Review: Amazing. I am impressed

My Dad got me one of these for a gift, and he's been getting his other friends the Vinturi too. It's really amazing. You pour a swig of wine into the glass to taste. Then pour some through the Vinturi, and compare. The Vinturi-treated wine is sooo much smoother and refined. It's like decanting for a few hours, without any flavor loss. Truly amazing. I'm really enjoying it, especially so far with new world wines like the 2006 Marquis Philips Shiraz that I picked up at Costco. This is a gadget that really lives up to the hype. An amazing little tool. We've tried other aerators in the past, but nothing compares to this. Not only does it open up the bouquet of a good wine, it actually changes the texture, giving a good glass an almost velvety consistency that enhances its flavor.
We've have now tried it on some of our most special cellared wines as well as some moderately-priced bottles. And it enhances EVERY one of them!
If you're seriously into wine (or not!), I can't recommend this device enough. Plus the little traveling pouch is cool as is the drip stand!

I saw this product first on "The Today Show" and thought it looked good. I found one about a year later (late 2006) and let me tell you! I am not a gimmick person but this aerator is really really good! IT WORKS! The sound it makes is just like a waterfall full of air. . . You can taste the wine, side by side, one aerated and the other not and you can taste the difference! This is a really good product for the person who enjoys drinking a glass of wine. . . and you don't have to be an "enthusiast" to tell the difference with this great aerator. . .

I was skeptical about purchasing the Vinturi, but figured I could return it if it didn't work as advertised. I was amazed at the difference it makes! I used it with a sampling of red wines, performing "before & after" taste tests as suggested by other reviews. There is an immediate and noticeable difference in taste! Im' no wine expert, but every one I have used with the Vinturi had a smoother, more colorful experience. I bought another one as a gift based on the success of the first one - highly recommended for any wine enthusiast!!!
