I've had these steak knives for about a year. They are so sharp I have cut myself twice with them, and once I had to get stitches, so be careful! As others have mentioned the handles are plastic and they don't feel very heavy/substantial in your hand, but they really work! I tend to reach for them nowadays whenever I need to cut anything at all, vegetables or meat etc. After a year however they are starting to show a little ware and they are not as quite as sharp as they were, although that might be a good thing since I don't want to cut myself again!Customer Review: Wow these knives are awsome.

I just spent $1000 on some very nice Wusthof knives then ran out of money for a good steak knife set so I bought these to hold me over for the mean time. The reviews are what prompted try them. So last night I opened the package picked up the knife and laughed at the quality. For me the knives look and feel cheap, but hey their $30 for 6 knives. I then grabbed a lime and I kid you not it cut the lime like it wasn't even there. I can't speak for any long term use but so far I'm very impressed with my $30 purchase.Customer Review: Best utilitarian steak knife

I first bought the highly rated Ginsu steak knives (terrible-don't buy). But after being sorely disappointed, I decided to try finding a better set. I've recently found that Victorinox makes some incredible knives, albeit not the most attractive. These knives are incredibly sharp and ergonomically designed for easy handling. As I said before, if you are not trying to impress others, these fit the bill perfectly. Unregrettably I trashed my Ginsu knives and never looked back.Customer Review: Everything they claim to be!

I've owned these knives for about 2 months now and they still look and work just like the first day I had them inhouse. Sharp enough to cut my finger thru careless knife skills, so pay attention while using these knives!
Buy them! Without a doubt, they'll become your go-to knives as well - in fact, buy 2 sets!

These were given to me as a gift for Christmas 2007. Since then, we have used them for everything but steak. We cut up kid foods mostly. We also use them for peeling apples (not what they were intended for, but sometimes the right knife is dirty), opening packages, cutting fruit, lunch meat, pizza, chicken, salads, grapes, etc.
These knives have stayed sharp even in the face of dishwasher use. They are flexible and durable.
