I recently broke out my bread maker and started baking again. The trouble was, I couldn't make nice, even slices without tearing the crust. I read the reviews for this knife and quickly ordered it. What a difference a great knife makes! I have used it on several loaves now, and it works beautifully every time. It slices through crust without any problem at all. I bake and eat a lot of bread. I especially like buying bread from a very good local bakery that sells loaves with extremely tough bottom crusts. My old serrated bread knife would often require me to bear down with numerous attempts to saw through this crusty bottom. This knife is amazing, perfect bread slices with a single sweep of the blade. I love this knife because it's smaller than the bread knives I'm used to and is easy to use quickly. It's scary-sharp, and is the perfect size for cutting bagels and tomatoes. I find myself using it for foods you normally wouldn't think of using a bread knife for, like potatoes or thick winter squash, because it's so incredibly sharp and makes cutting tough things easy.Customer Review: Victorinox 101/4" Serrated Knife

For the price this knife can't be beat. I use this knife at work everyday and the blade stays sharp. Very hard to find a 10 1/4" serrated blade that performs this well. I would definentely reccomend this knife to other's mainly because of the price and quality. There are better serrated knifes on the market but none can match the price and quality of this particular one.
