Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Victorinox 47508 3-1/4-Inch Paring KnifeCustomer Review: Great knife for the money Summary: 5 Stars
This knife is very sharp and comfortable to use. The handle doesn't seem to be the fibrox like the 8" chef's knife, it has a little less "grip" to it, but it shouldn't be a problem even if your hands are a little wet. For $5, I'd definitely recommend this knife. As someone who enjoys cooking, but doesn't want to spend a fortune on her hobby, this line of knives is perfect. They are so much sharper and thinner (but not flimsy) than others I have bought which makes kitchen tasks a breeze. It really makes me want to cook more when I have tools like this that work so well.
Customer Review: Excellent Knife at the Best Price Summary: 5 Stars
Who would have thought that a paring knife at such a low price would really be that good? This Victorinox knife is sharp and does an excellent job at peeling and preparing just about anything, especially fruits and vegetables. It does have a plastic handle, but it is sized just right. It provides a good grip and holds up to whatever you throw at it. I have been using it for several months now and it still looks like new. Even better, it still cuts like new. For this price point, I'd recommend picking one of these up...or maybe even two!
Customer Review: Well worth the $, sharpest knife around! Summary: 5 Stars
To be honest, I purchased knife this so that I could qualify for a free shipping order that did not have the minimum dollar amount yet. I am now very happy with that choice. My 3-1/4 inch paring knife arrived with the SHARPEST edge that I have ever found in a store bought knife. I literally was able to shave a small patch of hair off of my forearm (old guy sharpness test) with this thing right out of the package. I plan to order some more different size knives from this company. :)
Customer Review: Great little knife Summary: 5 Stars
My Victorinox paring knife is ultra sharp. The 3 1/4 inch blade is a good working length and the handle has a texture (it looks the same as the Fibrox handle on the Victorinox 8 inch Chef's Knife) that is helpful in keeping the knife under control in wet or slippery conditions. I use this little knife every day and find it's super-sharp, thiner blade actually slices and dices circles around my expensive French paring knife. This Victorinox knife is quite a bargin.
Customer Review: Extremely Usefull Tool! Summary: 5 Stars
For someone who really gets into cooking, a knife this size gets probably more use than any other. It's just right for detail work like garlic, ginger, etc. I trust the Victorinox brand, I have owned Victorinox knives in one form or another for 30 years. The only ones that I am not still using are ones that I have lost. For the price, I don't know if there's anything out there that would come close to what you're getting with this knife.
