I purchased several of these Victorinox knife blade covers for my Victorinox knives (I have 3) and my MAC knife. They work wonderfully! I don't like knife blocks and my knives and knife holders fit just fine in one of my drawers thus giving me more cabinet or counter space than if I had a knife block.
Make sure you know the size of the actual blade, NOT the whole knife including holder BEFORE you order. Silly me! I was thinking 6 inches referred to size of the entire knife not just the blade. All sorted out now though.

Bought this to go with the Victorinox 8" chef knife, also purchased on Amazon. Fit like a glove and very sturdy and safe. I've used it for several months and like the piece of mind that no one will reach into the drawer and cut themselves on this very sharp knife. I KEEP MY ALL MY KNIVES (FORSCHNERS) ON THESE PROTECTORS ALL THE TIME AFTER USE, JUST WATCH THEM DRY THEM AND PUT THEM BACK WHERE THEY BELONG, I LOVE MY KNIVES AND ALWAYS KEEP THEM SHARP AND THIS IS THE BEST TO PROTECT THE SHARP EDGE AND YOU DON'T RISK GETTING CUT WHEN YOU ARE TRYING TO GET A FORK OR A SPOON. This is a wonderful product, especially if you have kids in the house! I bought two, hoping it would fit another knife I have, and it did. Easy to open, VERY secure! Buy it!!!!!!!!!

It WILL pop open on it's own if you drop the knife. Not a fault of the design. Just be aware of this. Still 5 stars!

The Fibrox 8 Inch chef's knife just rattles around in the 8-10 inch Bladesafe holder and the rubber grippers (for lack of a better word) don't hold onto the blade. This 6-8 Inch holder fits the 8 inch blade perfectly and grips the knife quite firmly. If you own the 8-inch knife, THIS is the one you want to buy.
