Victorinox Forschner 3pc Chef's Set 46892
I was in the market for new knives and have never had a "good" set of knives. I did some research and read that Forschner were very good without being expensive. So I tried them. I just love these knives. They are so sharp, cut, slice and chop so well, and are not heavy or clumsy. I am so happy with them I also bought the steak knives and am just as happy with them.

I have always used cheapie knives so thought it was time to move up. [..] recommended these knives as a best value and the Amazon reviews also had a positive response. Most high end knives are forged, and more bucks, but these stamped metal knives were rated almost as high. They are lighter than the forged knives. I am pleased with the quality and they work great. So I do recommend them.

After doing a lot of research on Amazon, I decided to buy this set of knives for my high school son who is studying to be a chef. I figured that for a first set, the price could not be beat. My son is quite happy with these knives.
I also bought my son the knife sharpener made by the same manufacturer for use with these knives, but he wanted a different kind of sharpener.

We love these knives. We have used Victorinox before and are constantly impressed by the sharpness, the effectiveness and the effortlessness of this knife, even a novice like me can use it well. We have used them with fruits, vegetables, hard shelled fruits like pineapple, cantaloupe, watermelon and alway, no problem, and wonderful results. The Victorinox Fibrox knives are the best knives I have ever used. I love to cook and have spent a lot of money on 'good' knives before that just didn't measure up to the hype. I read all the reviews on these knives and didn't find any negatives. I thought I would give them a try. I am glad I did. These knives cut easily through foods. I would highly recommend them.
