This is a very good little paring knife. Especially for the price. I don't use any of my other cheap paring knife's any more. I love this little thing. I does feel very light but it is built pretty sturdy and the blade is sharp. Not as sharp as I expected but you can sharpen it with a stone like another reviewer mentioned and because of the composition of the blade make it as sharp as you want. It's not shiny or flashy but it will get the job done and at the cost you really can't beat it for easy of use and utility. Don't bother with any cheap paring knife when you can buy this one for about the same price and get much better quality.

Description of Victorinox 3-1/4-Inch Paring Knife with Large Handle

The R H Forschner by Victorinox Paring Knife features high carbon, stainless steel blade, hand finished at Victorinox in Switzerland by skilled craftsmen. A special tempering process is used to produce an edge that can be resharpened over and over again, so the knife can keep its original sharpness throughout the entire life of the blade. Victorinox handles are ergonomically designed to minimize wrist tension. They provide a natural fit. A good heft and comfortable, positive grip are indications of a well-made knife. Although cutlery steel is naturally sanitary, materials and construction details of the handle minimize crevices what would offer hospitality to bacteria.
