If there is anything I hate about pretty lamps it's that it never gives off enough light... and if there is anything I hate about lamps that give off good light... it's that they are either ugly or the boring carbon copy seen in every household across America. This lamp trancends both of those problems. I have two -- one for each nightstand. They are bright enough to completely light a room, or soft enought to just act as a reading light, or mood-lighting. Anybody looking for inexpensive decorating ideas should consider this lamp to create a hip loft like environment. I bought 2 to use for uplighting a brick wall in my loft. My only advice is keep the lamp away from young kids because of the glass shade. Good idea to place the lamp behind furniture, away from kids who may damage the shade.

Wonderful lamp - the touch base is fairly responsive and the glass thickness and translucence create a light that is just diffuse enough to be attractive but bright enough to be useful. I find the "high" setting a bit too bright with a 60 watt bulb, and I noticed that in the stores the display has a 25 watt bulb so I would recommend a 25-40 watt bulb for maximum enjoyment of this lamp.Customer Review: Just what I wanted...

I purchased two of these lamps, for bedside tables. They arrived quickly, well boxed and in perfect condition. Although this model is a bit larger than one I had bought from a local store for our daughter, they suit our needs. The touch sensor with three levels of light is great, especailly when you are half asleep and need to turn off the reading light. Great for mood lighting or reading.Customer Review: Great Lamp

My husband found this lamp at one of the stores and they were out of stock, that was almost a year ago. I finally bought 2 of them a couple of weeks ago and they were well worth the wait. Perfect for reading and also perfect for a romantic atmosphere. I sugguest a 40 watt bulb, no higher, the 60 watt was way too bright even on the first setting.
