Customer Review: My first review was 1-star, Now it's 5-stars-Here's Why!

Last week I wrote a review of the Tovolo spatula due to tearing at the end. Reports of poor customer service led me to state I would not purchase any more Tovolo products.
I've changed my mind and here's why.
On Tuesday, Sept.15, I emailed Tovolo customer service and nicely explained my dissatisfaction with the tear of the edge of my slightly used spatula. Sept. 16th, I received an email from Tovolo customer service, asking for my address.
Today September 24, I received via UPS a replacement spatula.
Folks, that's excellent customer service. So while I'm hoping the spatula holds up, I am giving them a five-star rating based on customer service alone and the other Tovolo product(a first-rate red silicone spoon)I use daily.
It's rare to have a company respond to a complaint about a ten dollar product. But Tovolo's quick response to send another, proves that Tovolo is service-orientated.
Therefore, I reject my own prior complaint and one-star rating to award this five-star rating.
It's nice to find a company who cares about their products and that I, their customer,is satisfied. Thanks, Tovolo, for making my day!

I bought a red one and a blue one after reading the Cook's Illustrated recommendation. Using a metal handle was a bit strange at first after all the years of regular plastic spatulas that are lighter and more flexible. However, after the first time I used this long-handled spatula to dig down into my KitchenAid 5-qt. mixing bowl to scrape the dimple, I was sold--I never wondered if the handle was going to break. Out of the package, I wasn't sure about the stiffer scraper head, but again, after the first use, I was sold. This is the perfect tool for the KitchenAid mixer. My only quibble is that there is no hole in the handle for hanging on a rack. I will be buying some as gifts for my two sisters who own KitchenAid mixers.Customer Review: Not only beautifully functional, but functionally beautiful!

This spatula is as great looking as it is functional. I have a lot of cobalt blue accents and accessories in my kitchen, so I chose the blue spatula. It is really sharp looking with the stainless steel handle and the bold blue paddle.
I baked brownies last week and used this spatula to empty the batter into the baking pan. WOW, what a great job! With its clever multi-shape paddle, it cleaned the mixing bowl of batter better than anything I've ever used before. More brownie batter in the pan and less in the bowl--this is a good thing (except that I do love eating the batter! LOL).
I'm very happy with this product and recommend it!

I own a Tovolo Blue Silicone Spatula which I bought, I believe, from Williams-Sonoma, many many years ago. It is, in fact, one of the older models with a straight rather than a slightly tapered handle. I use several different silicone spatulas from scraping oatmeal to brownie mix and in making Rice Krispie Treats, and have had no problems with the Tovolo what so ever. I especially like using it when making omelets as it easily gets under even the thinnest ones when folding. Having read some of the negative reviews, it is good to know that Tovolo stands behind its products.Customer Review: Great silicone spatula

I own several spatulas, and this one is my favorite. You won't be disappointed with the way it looks - the color is vibrant and the handle is a sleek, brushed metal. It's nicely weighted and unlike some other silicone spatulas, the head is shaped well and has just the right amount of flexibility so it does a great job scraping down mixing bowls as well as stirring whatever you cook on the stove top. A word of caution: obviously since the handle is metal, if you leave this spatula in a hot pot, the handle will get extremely hot.
