I purchased one for my daughter. She liked it so much that I finally ordered one for myself, not expecting to notice any difference between it and my old fashioned white Rubbermaid spatula or my "special" Calphalon spatula. After using the Tovolo silicone spatula I realized that there really IS a difference in spatulas! This one is great for everything--stirring, scraping, mixing--and it goes in the dishwasher! The tip is not as soft as the Calphalon, so it scrapes bowls better. Also, there are no ridges on this spatula so it scrapes the bowl (or pot) better and is very easy to clean. The two differently shaped sides have proven to be so useful that I don't use my other ones any more. The handle is very comfortable--I have a very small hand. My daughter agrees--and she has a large hand. She prefers the Tovolo for all the same reasons, plus it can be rested in the pot and it won't melt.Customer Review: Best spatula I have owned

I registered for a Tovolo spatula for my wedding and got it from my sister in law. She liked it so much she almost didn't give it to me. So this purchase was actually for her. I have both the pink and blue spatulas.
This is by far my favorite spatula I have ever owned. It works well with soft goods like folding egg whites into a mixture and scraping bowls full of batter. I love how sturdy the whole thing is and the extra power you get from the stainless steal handle. This spatula is great for getting those last little bits of peanut butter out of a jar. I would recommend this to anyone in need of a new spatula.

I own several spatulas, and this one is my favorite. You won't be disappointed with the way it looks - the color is vibrant and the handle is a sleek, brushed metal. It's nicely weighted and unlike some other silicone spatulas, the head is shaped well and has just the right amount of flexibility so it does a great job scraping down mixing bowls as well as stirring whatever you cook on the stove top. A word of caution: obviously since the handle is metal, if you leave this spatula in a hot pot, the handle will get extremely hot.Customer Review: The only spatula you need.

I bought this spatula based on the Cooks Illustrated high recommendation; I certainly agree with them. Unlike cheap spatulas, which flex like a garden hose, this one remains rigid enough to scrape the fond (brown bits on bottom of pan formed from sauteing) from the bottom of the pan, such as when you deglaze. Handle is long enough to keep your hands away from the heat. Cleans up nicely in the dishwasher. I can't think of anything negative to say about them. I would like to buy a few more.Customer Review: Love it

I've have a blue one of these for several months now and it quickly became my number one utility piece. It's as soft and pliable as when I bought it. I can't imagine pieces breaking off. Perhaps it depends on how it's used and handled. I used it to stir and as a spatula on stove top cooking. I don't leave it laying in a hot pan and I don't use a dishwasher. It's soft silicone, all you have to do is wipe it down with hot soap and water.
