I like the shape. I like the handles. I like that it is sturdy. I like the size, although was disappointed it wasn't quite as big as my old strainer that could easily handle two boxes of pasta - this holds about 1 1/2 boxes. It drains everything quite well (nice large holes, but the design keeps solid objects inside). The color is also quite nice.
One note is that it does sit low to the surface it is on. While the bottom part appears that it would raise it off the surface, it curves on the inside to skim the surface, and not really rise above it much at all.

This is a wonderful product. I was looking for a nice size colander to use for washing my fruits and veggies and I decided to try this one. I absolutely love this one. The holes are perfect for draining anything from pasta to veggies. Also the size and durability is terrific for the price. I also loved the color it brightens up my kitchen. I received this colander as a gift about 5 years ago and use it at least 3-4 times a week. It still looks fantastic and works really well. The holes are too small for draining tiny pastas like orzo and obviously you can't rinse rice in this colander. But for long or short pastas it's great! It also works well for fruit, veggies, lettuce, anything that you need to rinse. Highly recommended!Customer Review: Very Handy

This colander is great for rinsing pretty much anything: veggies, berries, salad greens. It has also been successful in draining larger pastas. The holes are not very small so smaller pastas like orzo would probably fall right through.
Overall the colander is very durable and the best thing is it won't ever rust like the metal colanders do.

My previous colanders were painted metal and rusted out over the course of 3 years. I specifically went with plastic because of this. This is an excellent colander, it washes well in my high temp cycle, the color is great, and it can hold a sizable amount of pasta. I absolutely recommend it!
