Customer Review: Works Too Well!

I attend a university that doesn't serve caffeinated beverages, not even in their vending machines. I love a good cup or two of strong coffee, especially between classes. This seemed like the right tool for my backpack. I was dubious about the insulating properties of a stainless steel bottle, but it keeps coffee hot for a LONG time.
COMPLAINTS:
* It insulates too well. The manual advises you to preheat it with hot tap water. I don't do that, but it still keeps coffee burning hot for several hours. By the time I have a class break, however, the coffee has cooled enough to drink it straight from the thermos. Otherwise, a mug or external cup is required. On those days that I use it for my morning coffee, I generally bring along an insulated 16 oz mug full of morning coffee and then refill it from this bottle.
* The lid gets in the way if you drink while driving. I hadn't noticed this until I read a review with this complaint. Yeah, OK, it does, but it's so small that you can always keep ONE eye on the road during that brief instant where you sip.
BOGUS COMPLAINTS:
X It doesn't hold enough - read the title, this is a 16-OUNCE container. If you bought it and are now unhappy that it doesn't hold enough, you behaved foolishly and probably shouldn't advertise it publicly in a review!
X You have to stick your nose into the container to drink. You do with anything that doesn't have a straw. Admittedly, my nose isn't particularly large, but I've got well over a cm to spare when drinking.
X The inside of the lid is blue. Yeah, what gives with this? But it's a pale blue ... plus you keep the lid closed, so who cares?!?
X It leaks. No it doesn't. If yours leaks, you have a defective unit, return it for another one.
ADVANTAGES:
* True, one-handed operation. Grab it, press the button to release the lid, and sip away.
* Well insulated, keeps coffee hot for hours.
* Cleans easily.
* Doesn't leak.
SUMMARY:
Does what a coffee bottle should do. I toss mine in my backpack and also use it in my car. Beware, this will keep your coffee HOT for a long time. Doesn't leak (but test yours first, as it appears that some reviewers have received defective units).
