I have two of these and they work great for hot or cold. Hot lasts about ten hours. I carry it around with hot tea in it in the cold on campus and love it. I use restaurant china cups that won't break to drink from. You do not want to drink hot liquids directly. DOES NOT LEAK. Is guaranteed not to leak. Watch gasket in dishwasher. Make sure it is in there when you get it out, not in the bottom of the dishwasher or you will not have a seal. GREAT THERMOS! The clip can also hold the tea bag string so that it does not go down in there when you pour.Customer Review: The best water bottle I have ever owned.

This thing is practically indestructible and you will not believe how long a cold beverage stays cold in this thing. I put in some iced-coffee and leave it in the hot car and by the end of the work day.... THERE'S STILL ICE!!!
It is definitely leak proof with a fantastic sealing screw-on cover and the pop-top makes it a cinch to quench your thirst, no matter how fast you are running on the treadmill.
Highly recommended. In fact, I might actually pick up another one, just in case they decided not to make these any longer.

Bought this and a Klean Kanteen to try out when I ditched my old lexan water bottles during the Great BPA Scare. Both are nicely made; I still use the Klean Kanteen at home, but the Thermos is perfect for the gym. It keeps the water cold through the whole workout, and the best part is the pop-top and pour spout; you can take a drink on the treadmill without breaking your stride. The spout is small enough so you won't slosh water on yourself, but large enough to get a good drink quickly. I'm ordering another one just to have at work.Customer Review: Fantastic

I'm big on aluminum water bottles -- I own several -- and this one is by far my favorite. The cap seals very well and the 'lock' keeps the bottle from opening accidentally. Because a button just pops it open, it's quick to use. When you take the cap off, the opening for the bottle is quite large, so you can easily fit ice cubes without struggle. Also, if you put in cold water with the ice cubes, the cubes will keep the bottle cold all day.
Basically, this water bottle will significantly improve your quality of life.

I haven't tried this bottle for cold yet but it certainly keeps my coffee HOT enough. I wanted something that would do both. The manufacturer does not recommend it for hot liquids because of the danger of scalding. You're drinking directly from a spout rather than an adjustable stopper from which you pour your drink into a cup. I think if you're aware of the difference you won't burn your tongue. If you need the one-handed convenience of a spout for hot/cold liquids this item will fill the bill.
