I have had this great thermos for about 6 months and it has worked extremely well so far and much better than I had expected. One morning, I filled it up with hot coffee before rushing out the door for work and I forgot to grab it on the way out. It sat on the kitchen counter all day long. When I got home 12 or so hours later, I fully expected the coffee inside to be either room temp or at best luke warm,, it was actually still HOT ! I couldn't believe it and was very pleasantly surprised. I have also had it laying on its side for an hour in a duffel bag and it has never leaked or spilled once. My only wish or semi complaint is that I wish Thermos made a larger version this model. If they made the same model in a 30oz or a little larger size, I would buy it in a second. I have not tried soup in this yet but I bet it would work just as well.Customer Review: Perfect product

At the moment I'm located in the southwest, an area usually known for experiencing 100+ weather well into September. I received this product yesterday after hearing some good things from a friend. Unlike her, I decided to go for the 22 oz (she has the 16 oz). Today I put 5 pieces of ice in at 10:30AM and filled the thermos with water and headed off to school. For at least 40 minutes this thermos was in direct sunlight. About 20 minutes ago, that is about 11PM, I remembered that I should clean it. I took off the top and found 5 pieces of ice at the bottom! Really? More than 12 hours later and the ice remained at about 90% of its size from this morning. I even had trouble getting it out of the thermos! I've been on a quest to find the perfect water bottle for years. I always find myself out and buying new ones that look cool and fancy but I never stick with them. I needed something that wouldn't spill, would keep my stuff cold, something that wouldn't break if I dropped it and something that wasn't easy to lose. This water bottle fulfilled all of my needs. The water stays cold and I haven't even tried putting ice in it yet. The carabiner allows me to clip the bottle to my purse or bag letting me to keep track of it. The fact that this thermos has an open mouth is amazing. I don't have to deal with those stupid straws that you can never really clean out and only seem to spew water everywhere when you try to drink out of them. I searched high and low for a thermos for coffee that was larger than the standard 16 oz in local stores. I need a big jolt of java in the morning, and I enjoy it best when it is piping hot. I would pour a big 22 oz. plastic mug of coffee, and it would go cold before I could finish it causing me to waste my expensive brew. The answer was to locate a thermos carafe that was larger capacity, environmentally friendly, lightweight, slim design and would keep my brew hot for hours. My new stainless steel 20 oz. thermos does the job. I now wonder why I waited so long to find a real solution to my cold coffee dilemma when the answer was a simple Internet click away. Ok, you've been looking for something to hold lots of liquid, but it needs to be usable with one hand, and easy to clean. This is the ultimate water bottle. The mouth is large enough to get ice cubes into it, it's got vacuum insulated walls, there are no crevices to get dirty, the stainless liner comes all the way up to the top. The lid has no crevices that you can't clean with your fingertip (super easy to clean).
Honestly, if you're looking for a tough bottle to keep your water cold, this is the one. I can fill it with icewater and the ice lasts for at least a day. I've gotten several comments and questions at work about it, and a few people have ordered these for themselves.
