Customer Review: Best bottle ever for keeping drinks ice cold

I bought this to keep my beverage ice cold for the entire 18 holes of a round of golf (around 5 hours or more). With my old thermos, the ice would melt away by the back nine, and I'd be left with warm drink. So I was hoping this one would go the distance. Bottom line, it works. It really works. In fact, the first few times I used it, I had a bunch of ice left and no drink. I had put in too much ice because I was used to putting in the that amount in my old thermos (and it still was not enough). But this thing can keep a drink ice cold for 24 hours, in 90 degree heat, with half the ice or less. I tested it. It really works. I'm very happy with it. It isn't cheap, and the instructions say you should not use it for hot beverages, but for cold beverages, it is the best I've ever used. Very well made, rugged and durable. P.S. I also like the fact that it has a clip so I can clip it right on to my golf bag.Customer Review: None better, this is the best.

There are so many brands out there now, especially after everyone realized the toxicity of BPA, but the Thermos hydration bottle is the best of the bunch. If you put ice into this in the morning it is very likely to be there the following morning! The rubber-like base gives it stability in addtion to protection from dings. The mouth is wide enough to hold all but large ice cubes, so there is no need for special "ice tube" trays. It looks rugged, and it is, but the most superior quality this product demonstates is the ability to keep your cold drink cold for a very long time. It fits my car's cup holder, but it might not fit all. That hardly matters because the easy opening click button means you can quickly sip and close, reassured that this never, ever leaks! This bottle is THE BEST cold water bottle. Over the past 5 years, I have purchased at least 5 of the Thermos 22-ounce leak-proof hydration bottles. I place ice cubes in the bottle at 7:00 AM then at 7:00 PM check inside the bottle. There is still ice in the bottle. The bottle does not leak. I have walked outside on the Las Vegas, NV Strip in 112 degree weather for a total of an hour. The outside of the bottle may be hot (due to sun exposure) but the water inside the bottle is ice cold. The bottle will retain its cold keeping capability as long as you do not drop the bottle. I gave one to my son to take to school. He has dropped it 4 or 5 times. After the bottle dropping incidents, the bottle's ability to keep liquids cold has diminished to 3 or 4 hours. Just be mindful of not dropping the bottle, and, you will continue to have THE BEST cold water bottle.Customer Review: I can't go anywhere without my thermos!

I bought this Thermos E5 a couple of months ago, I must say I have been very happy with my purchase. If you need something that can hold cold drinks cold for HOURS. Yes the capital letters are a little dramatic but I have been very impressed. I tried the ice cube test myself. 24 hours guaranteed. The chug style opening is perfect. The 22 Ounce capacity is just right. I can go shopping on a hot day leave this little sucker in the car and I can expect to have a cold drink when I get back. On the flip side if you are in the cold where it's freezing. The liquid inside wont freeze. =) If you put an ice cold drink...4 hours later it will feel the same as when you poured it.
**only small ice cubes can fit the opening. The trade off is that this thermos can hold drinks cold for a long time.
It's expensive, but worth it.

It is everything it advertises to be. I work evenings and like to bring coffee, this thermos does the job well. After 5 or 6 hours, even when it is half gone and has been opened a few dozen times it is still hot. Lid is well designed; drink mouth is large and easy to clean. The thermos itself is easy to clean, interior is stainless and lid is plastic. O ring seals are easy to remove, clean, and replace. Lid snaps shut and has clip to secure closed, when clipped you can toss it around with zero chance of spill. A little wide for common cup holders in some cars, but with no spill lid it is not too big a deal. It is also excellent for cool drinks, the wide mouth allows for ice to be inserted. I have used it when hiking and cold water stays cold all day, even in the hot sun. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a hot or cold beverage thermos.
