Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Thermos Stainless-Steel 22-Ounce Leak-Proof Hydration BottleCustomer Review: Great Thermos Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this Thermos based on other reviews and I was not disappointed. I was looking for a thermos that I could take from home to the office. I was trying to quit drinking sodas at work and my poor excuse not to quit was that I didn't have cold water to drink at the office. This thermos eliminated that excuse. If filled with ice, the ice will last 24 hours or more at room temperature and transporting it is not a problem because this thermos doesn't leak. It also has a safety latch on it in case something accidentally pushes the top release button.
The only downside to this thermos is that it doesn't hold much water. However, to keep it as small and well insulated as they did, it probably holds as much as can be expected. I'm able to throw it in my bag on the way to work everyday along with an extra bottle of water to refill my thermos if necessary.
This thermos keeps the water and ice so cold that I usually leave the top open on the thermos because the ice will not melt during the workday. I highly recommend this thermos. FYI, this thermos has helped me to almost completely eliminate sodas from my diet.
Customer Review: Ditto on all 5 star ratings Summary: 5 Stars
I have little more to say, except "Ditto to every 5 star review for this item on Amazon." This Thermos is literally the very best water bottle that I have ever owned, bar none. Considering the top notch quality of this product, it is worth every cent (and more.) I love this so much that I am buying another one for my wife as well. There is not one thing that I dislike about it (and THAT is really saying something for me.) I have read some reviewers that are worried about losing the lid gasket. I can envision where that could possibly happen, but that possibility is definitely not a deal breaker for buying the best water bottle on the market (IMHO.) I own two other Thermos water bottles (18 oz) that have a pop up spigot that you have to suck the water from. It loudly chirps when you drink from it. They are all equal in their near perfect thermal qualities, but THIS one allows me simply push a button to pop it open to chug my water without the neighborhood wondering where all the racket is coming from. If you are like me and love to drink ice cold water throughout the day, you will absolutely love this water bottle. Really.
Customer Review: Great for iced carbonated beverages Summary: 5 Stars
If you must have ice, get a Thermos Nissan, nothing else will do. Have had this one for a couple years now and use it daily. I want my soda on ice and the ice has to last at least all day. This thermos has a wide enough opening for most ice cubes and enough room for 1-1.5 cans of soda plus lots of ice. The ice will last at least 24 hours if the soda is cold when you put it in. It doesn't fit in the cup holder, but it is truly leak proof so I just toss it on the passenger seat. I trust the seal so much I routinely toss it in my computer bag. It seals in the carbonation so well that when I press the button to pop the lid open the loud popping noise startles the students in my class. I also have a 16 oz Nissan Thermos bottle and an older 48 oz version with screw off drinking spouts and lids. Both are great, though harder to fit the ice cubes into and less convenient to drink out of because you need to unscrew the lid each time. The big one has kept ice for 3 days inside where there was no A/C.
Customer Review: Excellent thermos! Summary: 5 Stars
I just received this in the mail yesterday and had my first chance to try it out today. I put hot coffee in it this morning at 8:30am (steaming hot right out of the pot, but mixed with creamer, etc) and drank it throughout the day. This is no exaggeration: when I was driving home this afternoon at 4:00pm, the coffee was still very warm, as if I had poured a fresh cup and let it sit for a few minutes while I got changed or something. I was completely amazed. You certainly have to be careful in the beginning because hot stuff stays VERY hot and I got a little bit of a burn on those first sips in the car. However, if you want something that is easy to access with one hand, leakproof, holds a ton of coffee (two large coffee mugs worth) and keeps your stuff hot, this thing is awesome. I know it says "Hydration" and is supposedly only for cold items (at least according to the safety insert) but it worked for me. I'm 110% pleased with this item and will DEFINITELY recommend to friends and family.
Customer Review: Hot coffee all day! Summary: 5 Stars
I wanted something that would keep coffee hot -- or even warm -- without that icky burnt flavor of coffee when it sits on a warmer for hours. Well, I've been using this one for two weeks and it's fantastic.
At 6:15 a.m., I put a little cold half-and-half in the thermos, then fill it with hot coffee. The base is too wide to fit in my car's cup holders, but that's actually no big deal because this thing does not leak. I can lay it on the seat beside me and it's just fine. It hangs out on my desk at work, where I sip coffee from the nozzle that basically ensures that I won't spill it on myself. I've gotten busy enough that I didn't finish the coffee and at 4 p.m. it's still warm. Last night I put it to the ultimate test: I filled it at 6:15 a.m. without first "priming" it with hot water for a few minutes. I drank about half of it during the day, then finally got back to it at 10:30 p.m. It had FINALLY reached the lukewarm stage.
