This is just as good as everyone says (so far).
DO NOT put hot drinks into it. There is a warning in the instruction booklet about that. The warning should probably be bigger.
While you COULD put hot drink into it without in any way damaging it, the 'gulping' lid will pour WAY too much scalding liquid at your mouth all at once, then on your face, then all over you and your surroundings when your arm reflexively flings the bottle away after scalding yourself. Then it'll probably break whatever it hits. It might be used as a thermos to pour the drink out of... but if you've habitually popped the top and drank out of it before, you'll absent-mindedly do that with a hot beverage, too.
The '16 oz' e5 mug (which actually has 14 oz of capacity) with the nice 360 degree sippy lid keeps scalding hot drinks scalding hot for MUCH longer than you expect, and has an extra little space in the lid to let the hot liquid cool off a bit before you sip at it. I've made tea at night, forgotten it and later gone to bed, then still had it hot enough to drink in the morning. One tea or coffee bag and boiling water is a full day's supply of sipping hot beverage in that mug.
I kind of wish the tops were interchangeable between the two, but they're not.
This definitely doesn't fit in many cup holders, but it seals securely, so you can find 'somewhere' to put it.
You don't need ice! Anything refrigerator cold will stay that way for a long, long time. The ice ends up fusing into a big chunk, and just takes up space.

This bottle is great! Love that is made from Stainless steel. The vacuum seal helps to prolong hot or cold inside and also no condensation or hot on outside. I prefer stainless steel over any plastic bottle, BPA free or not as I don't worry about the plastic leaching strange chemicals. I always try to use stainless whenever possible and I have stopped buying plastic bottles of water. I just fill this up and take it with me in the car or bag. No worries about heated plastic bottles. Plus I have had no problem at all with leaking.
This kept my cold water all day while doing yard work in hot sun. Very convenient to drink from, especially compared to some other thermos/bottles. Love that this is super convenient to drink from...push the button, top pops open, drink from the nicely sized spout! These will be gifted to my friends and family as everyone loves these!
One thing to note...if you purchase from Amazon, be sure to check that your bottle doesn't have dings/dents upon arrival. Amazon packs this in a box with air pouches in the box but no filler paper or bubble wrap around it to protect it from other items in box (or from the harsh travel conditions of a UPS or Fedex box). I had to have amazon replace a couple of these out as they were dinged/dented upon arrival together in one box. My bottles arrived in plastic bag sleeve but packaged right next to each other in a larger box with a few air pouces. Keep in mind that if the vacuum seal is compromised (may be possible from severe dents/dings) so will the heat/cold retention.

Hey folks, just bought this vacuum bottle and like it so much I thought I'd hop on here and recommend it.
It's AWESOME! The bottle is really well made. The parts seem sealed together properly and I really like the little carabiner on the side of it. I use this every morning for a couple of hot cups of coffee to ride with me in the car on the way to my morning 3-mile hike. The coffee stays hot, even in the car in 20-degree temperatures. It's so nice to have a warm beverage after you've been out yourself in 20-degree temperatures. ;)
The instruction manual for this says "for cold beverages only," but I've been using it all week for coffee and had no trouble at all. The plastic piece that you sip out of is very sturdy and doesn't seem like it will be at all affected by hot drinks.
I also really like how the top clicks down without too much pressure - it would probably stay shut even without the silver sealer ring. And! This fits in my car cupholder perfectly, yet holds a BIG drink, unlike some smaller beverage containers.
I'll probably buy another one of these.
**Update**: I've now used this Thermos for three months in high-90-degree temperature weather in the southern U.S. It is fantastic! In addition to keeping your hot coffee hot, I still have ice cubes in my water the morning after I put them into this Thermos. It's cold after I run errands and leave it in my car, where the temps are over 100 degrees F in the summer. I literally don't know what I'd do without it.

In my eternal search for a good thermos that (a) doesn't leak and (b) actually keeps liquids hot, I spent many hours one day reading all thermos reviews on Amazon as well as other sites.
This thermos had such good reviews and no leaking problems (even if one reviewer said that an item leaked, I tossed it out as an option) that I purchased it for my husband, who asked for a new thermos for Christmas.
He has now used it for a week and is very impressed with its ability to keep coffee hot long into the work day. He usually brings a travel mug of coffee to drink in the morning and fills up the thermos for his afternoon shot of caffeine. At noon, the coffee is still piping hot. By 4:00, it is still very warm. He does not put hot water in the thermos prior to filling it up each morning and it sits overnight near a (currently, very chilly) window.
My husband has not yet fully tested the leak-proof-ness of this thermos, other than transporting it to and from work. Perhaps we should hand it to our 2-yr old to put through the paces.
Overall, my husband is very pleased with this purchase, its ability to keep his coffee hot, and that it doesn't leak.

This wonderful and amazing bottle does its job pretty good! I bought this product after a meticulous search in store and online. I need something that can retain hot and cold beverage for the whole day. it has a wide opening in which u can put in standard ice cubes. theres a pop-up lid for easy open and a nozzle where u can pour liquid without dripping to its bottle itself. so far, no leaks, moist from neither hot or cold, easy to hold by a finger or on backpack with the carabiner. a little heavy but of course its because of its good materials. just follow the instructions of proper care and usage and it will last long with satisfaction. To avoid dents you may want to use a bottle bag. be careful also not to lose the rubber gasket.
For those who have confusion on how this product works... The job of this item is to keep the cold, neutral or hot liquid in it for the whole day as how cold, neutral or hot it is since the time you fill it up, this is a (Vacuum Flask)thermos-brand (it means insulated from outside temperature)! fill it up with hot coffee then put the bottle in fridge for 2 hours, after that you can still enjoy your hot coffee.
