Hi!For many years I had the trouble of comuting to school early in the morning and having to buy an overpriced cup of ugly coffee. Sometimes I tried to bring my own from home, but this proved difficult since it would arrive cold and I risked geting all my books and other stuff wet (it did happen a few times). About three years ago I decided to buy one of the Starbucks travel cups. What a joke!, it broke soon and it never kept the coffee warm. One day I saw this Nissan mug and altough expensive decided to buy it. It is wonderful: comfortable, no spills, warm coffee. I am very very happy with it, unfortunately it's not easy to find in retail stores and ordering it from the US would cost too much in taxes and shipping. Would make a perfect gift for any traveler.
Bad things: Size somewhat limited. If you close it too hard you might struggle a while to open it again. Probably vapour preassure tightens it even more.
Good things: Warm coffee, comfortable, resitant.

When I received our first one from Amazon, I was somewhat unimpressed with the styling compared to other travel mugs I have used--not any longer. I have ordered a third copy, and the styling is just fine, thank you, considering that this travel mug makes all the others I have ever used feel like toys in comparison. Everything about this design is ergonomic, thoughtful, and improves functioning.

I purchased the Nissan 14-Ounce Leak-Proof Travel Mug last week, and let me tell you, it is all it's cracked up to be. I am a student at the University of Arkansas, and walk from my apartment to class every morning. Before buying this mug, I had to either hold onto my leaky plastic travel mug (which kept coffee hot for about 30 minutes) or just go without my java. I've already used this mug twice in walking to school, and have been able to clip it onto my bag (via the very handy harness clasp that can be cliped to the handle), making for easy walking. It has kept my coffee hot for at least 2 and a half hours, and warm up to five hours later.
The ONLY downfall to this mug that I could forsee would be that the sealing mechanism requires two hands, which could be difficult if done while driving. Since I mostly walk everywhere I go, this has yet to be an issue for me.
Overall, it's one of the best purchases I've made on Amazon...and I've made quite a few.

I've been using this mug for about 5 years now and have found it to be the best travel mug available.
It doesn't leak. Period. Screw the lid shut, turn it over. No leaks. Since the lid screws on, rather than pops on, there's no chance that the lid will pop off. I put this mug in my bag right next to my laptop without hesitation.
Drinks stay hot for hours. I leave for work in the morning and my coffee is still warm 4-5 hours later.
It's easy to drink on the go, just screw the lid open a half-turn to drink. Another half-turn and it's sealed shut.
It comes with a carabiner so you can clip it to your bag.
The base is small enough so that it will fit in most car cup holders.
And to top it off, Thermos Nissan will replace it if it breaks, starts to smell bad, etc.
It's the best mug ever. It's a little pricier than some other models and only holds 14oz but it's perfect.

I rarely write reviews, but I have to for this mug! I'm a college student attempting to survive in the bitter cold of Minneapolis winters. I can clip this to the outside of my backpack in below zero temperatures, make a 20 min trek to class, open it up and it's still piping hot. No more gulping coffee en route because it will be ice cold by the time I make it to class!
It stays hot! It doesn't leak! What else could you need? Thermos has made a great product here - totally worth the money. Easy to clean (though I haven't popped the top apart yet as suggested in some reviews, which makes me a bit nervous but, eh), easy to use (though it sounds complicated...it's not!) and...I dunno, IT SELLS ITSELF. ;) I have the espresso color, and it's shiny, instead of the matte I expected...it looks really classy. The handle is a bit odd at first, but it really helps when you want to clip it on to things, and even carrying it.
