Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Thermos Nissan FBB1000 34-Ounce Stainless-Steel Vacuum Insulated Briefcase Bottle

Customer Review: Hot coffee all day
Summary: 5 Stars

I can make coffee at 7AM, have a cup at 9, one mid-afternoon, and by 7PM it's still too hot to drink straight out of the bottle. I've never tried anything cold, but I'm sure the results would be comparable. I've made morning coffee, filled the thermos, and forgot it at home while I went to work. The next morning out of necessity I had a cup. Still plenty warm to drink when there's nothing else.

The only issue I have with it is the shape, which I can't complain about because I saw the picture before I bought it. It's very smooth and will roll away if it tips over on the floor. It's a little difficult to hang onto if your hands are full, so you might consider a Nissan thermos with a handle if you're carrying a lot of things to school or work.

Customer Review: Needs a Warning label
Summary: 5 Stars

So this arrived at my house via UPS this morning. I brewed up a pot of coffee with milk poured it in and set on about my day. I had a few Cap Cup Fulls in the morning and they were good and hot as expected. Around 2 pm~ish I pour a cup, not really thinking about it and in my mind I was expecting it to be room temperature. I took a sip and burnt my tong and ended up so shocked I spit hot coffee all over my new keyboard.

VERY happy with my purchase so far. If I had to nit pick and find something I dont like, it would be the pour spout indicator arrows would be better in a contrasting color.

UPDATE: I put ice and water in this on Friday and forgot about it. On Monday there was still ICE in it. amazing

Customer Review: Worth every penny
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought one of these at an outdoor rec shop in Canada about 8 years ago. For about the first 3 years, it maintained liquid temperature very well for 12 hours. If I made tea at night, it was still hot in the AM and I could take it to work. I bought another one for my common-law since he was drinking all of my tea. Can't have too many. I also bought a smaller one with a slimmer profile for x-cross skiing treks. I still have them and they hold the temperature for about 4 hours now. Even if the outside temperature was -40C and I had the thermos sitting in my car for extended periods, it was always comforting to pour a hot cup of tea. I've hauled these things around the continent and not a dent. I just ordered a new one.

Customer Review: 32 Ounces of all day hotness!
Summary: 5 Stars

I got this so that I wouldn't have to buy coffee at school on days when I'm there from morning til night and need that afternoon hit. It keeps my coffee hot for about 12 hours (although it doesn't usually last that long!). It seems to keep it hotter longer when I fill it with hot water first, like others have said. It fits well in my backpack, which is the other reason I got it because I ride my bike to school so need something leak-proof. It's too tall to fit securely in the side mesh pockets (in my opinion), but I have a roomy backpack, so it slides in the main compartment really well. I hemmed and hawed a little about buying this, but the $$ I've saved has already paid for it. I love my thermos!

Customer Review: Great purchase!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this thermos several weeks ago, and I have been using it almost every day since. I fill it up and bring it to work. Our temperatures today are frigid, and my coffee was so hot it burned my mouth a little! I usually drink my coffee around 3-4 hours after it's poured into the thermos, and it's always nice and hot. The directions suggest preheating it first with warm tap water. I did this at first, but realized that it is hot either way, so I don't worry about doing it any more. I had heard before that anything other than a glass insulated thermos would not keep things hot, but now I know that this is not true. This is a great thermos, and I would definitely recommend it.
