-Cup fits perfectly in my hand
-Cup doesn't appear to be dentable under normal use
-Cylinder is solid and doesn't tip easily
-Pour spout is variable from a trickle to a pour
-Despite not being a very clear flow path, the pour spout doesn't leave coffee dribbling down the side of the bottle
-Wide enough mouth that I can pour from my caraffe directly into the bottle
-Wide enough mouth that spoonfulls of sugar are easy to add
-Sleek and devoid of any obnoxiously large logos -- very much thanks for not branding this silver bullet into uglyness!
-Cup is sufficiently heavy that I'm not worried about it running away from me while pouring
-Conservative packing -- no unnecessary material wasted in the boxing of the bottle

I bought this thermos when I moved off campus. I now make my coffee when I leave my apartment in the morning (6 am) and pack it in this thermos so I don't have to run to the overpriced on-campus coffee shop. I work at my desk and attend class throughout the morning, always wanting a cup of coffee when I'm at my desk. The coffee coming from this thermos through the early afternoon (when I stop drinking coffee) is so hot that I have to let it cool for seval minutes in my mug.
The other day I didn't make it back to my apartment until after 10 pm. When I dumped the remaining coffee out, it was still steaming hot.
My one complaint is the stainless steel exterior shows finger prints and what not unless you wipe it off frequently. Being a neat freak, I do.
Over all, I love it.

Seriously, this thing is from another planet. Will keep your good piping hot or cold or lukewarm if you like it that way, whatever you put in, you are getting out within a 12-16 hour time frame. I think the 24 hour rating is a bit over the top, I suppose if you don't actually open it for 24 hours it will hold the temperature, but during regular use of pouring 3-4 times per fill 12-14 hours is about right. I enjoy drinking hot tea and I brew it directly in the thermos, the vacuum seal is very good at not having any leakage, just make sure you twist it on tight.
Keep in mind you cannot drink out of this (well I guess you can if you twist off the entire top, although this is not how it is designed to work). The cap twists halfway off to provide a pouring spout to enjoy in another mug or glass.

I have been lugging around a large thermos for years on all my early morning fishing trips. I always made a full 12 cups to fill it so it would stay hot for a number of hours. I just never seemed to hold the temperature very long. I finally bought a 1 qt. Nissan and my issues have been addressed. I fill the Nissan with boiling water, I ZAP my coffee in the carafe and right before I fill the Nissan I empty out the water. My coffee now stays pipping hot for hours, even in the cold Oregon mornings.
The Nissan is surprisingly light, seems quite rugged and the stopper only needs a couple of turns to pour neatly without the need to remove it completely. The cuo/lid seems to be somewhat insulated and is very functional. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

This is a FANTASTIC thermos. I use it for hot tea and it works so well I can't fill it with straight boiling water or else I'd be scalding my tongue all day. I fill it 1/2 with boiling water and 1/2 with cold tap water -- 8 hours later, I'm still almost burning my tongue (in a good way). I've filled it with tea in the morning, left it overnight, and the next morning it's still lukewarm.
I agree it's a little hard to wash since it's tall/skinny, but it's totally worth it. It's a great shape for putting at the bottom of a bag or on the side. Very solid construction of stainless steel.
I'm buying one of these for christmas presents for everyone in my family! I'm using it every day -- at $28 it's a great value for the amount of use I'm getting out of it.
