Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Thermos Nissan FBB1000 34-Ounce Stainless-Steel Vacuum Insulated Briefcase BottleCustomer Review: Couldn't Be Happier... Summary: 5 Stars
Well, that's not entirely true. I'd be happier if my thermos never ran out of coffee.
Seeing as the odds of endless coffee are very unlikely, I love it just the way it is. I made this purchase about four weeks ago in the hopes of curbing my non-budget friendly, twice daily visits to the cafe downstairs... like magic! I haven't been back since this thermos showed up on my doorstep!
While I haven't done the 24 hour hot coffee test (doing good if my supply lasts 4 hours); I usually fill my thermos with hot water in the evening (god forbid I have an extra thing to do in the morning!), and the water is always still super hot 10-12 hours later when I'm ready to fill it with the good stuff. So... def suits my needs.
The size of the thermos is just right (2 1/2 to 3 mugs to get my day headed in the right direction). Maybe a little heavy to put in my purse when it's full, but I usually chuck it in my bag for the trip home. It has gotten a little dinged up, but I call that "character". It keeps my bevvies hot and doesn't leak at all. That's all I care about.
Customer Review: Fantastic. Clean, pure design. Summary: 5 Stars
I'm extremely pleased with this thermos, I roast my own coffee and was looking for a suitable container to transport it to the office so I could enjoy it all day.
The great reviews of this moddle sold me, and the price was not bad at all for the size.
The coffee from my presto coffee maker is served at about 190°F and even though brewed at 6:30AM the coffee is still steaming hot by noon.
Another thing of note is that the design of the lip does not allow the liquid to drip down the side when pouring, even if the lid is left on. If you've developed the habit as I have of placing a coaster out when you serve a bottle of wine, you'll respect this thoughtful design touch.
Overall, it's a fantastic container and fulfills its purpose simply and elegantly, it's robust design assures me I'll be using it for decades.
I don't see it as a flaw, but there is no handle, and though it fits in my breifcase it's not the most comfortable arrangement. I'm wondering if someone hasn't designed a neoprene or canvas carrying strap...
~Cheers!
Customer Review: Very useful, sleek and NO DRIPS! :) Summary: 5 Stars
-No drips! Unscrew the stopper cap and pour out the drink into the lid/cup. I love this because the thermos keeps drinks so hot for so long that it is actually difficult not to burn yourself if you attempt drinking from the thermos itself! But pouring into the little lid/cup will cool it down just enough.
-Tall size! I love that it holds so much beverage.
-Saves money: making my own tea and coffee the way I like it prevents me from purchasing at brick and mortar shops where it might not be to my liking and ends up being very expensive. So this awesome thermos is worth the initial investment.
-Keeps hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold! Doesn't transfer temperatures through the bottle!
-Good lookin' bottle! Very sleek and stylish.
-Perfect for day trips or car trips! Enough drink to feed a couple people in the car.
-Very durable and I expect it will last a long time.
-Saves waste, preventing you from buying disposable drink cups from shops.
-No BPA is awesome.
Customer Review: Works as advertised, well worth the money. Summary: 5 Stars
PROS: Keeps drinks warm for hours. Cup fits well on the top. Clearly quality construction.
CONS: Such a shiny surface dents pretty easily. Also, its not QUITE as lustrous as the picture indicates, although it still has a gorgeous brushed steel look. The stopper now squeaks like crazy when I twist it in to seal the container.
FINAL VERDICT: Worth the $35, would recommend again.
SUMMARY: I use this thing every day in school. I fill it up with hot tea in the morning, and it stays warm easily until late evening. Even the next day the tea is still warm. It's not that big either. While it is tall, it fits in the side netting pocket that serves as a drink carrier on my backpack, and it is not so tall that it falls out. I have dropped it a few times and since it is so heavy when full, it dented the top (cup) portion. It sounded like a bomb went off when it hit the radiator in the classroom :p, but that was my own clumsiness. Don't drop it on your foot and you'll be fine.
Customer Review: Solid construction and keeps my coffee very hot! Summary: 5 Stars
This is the best Thermos I have ever owned. It is built to last. This is the only one I have owned that did not leak around the top. There is no pour spout to flip open or plungers to push down thankfully. The inner cap provides a very solid seal. To pour, simply loosen the cap and my coffee pours from between the inner threads and the cap. This also helps preserve any heat from escaping. I think a proper seal helps to retain the heat just as much as the vacuum insulated body. Also, as I have already dropped mine several times onto pavement, this product stands up nicely to my abuse. A few minor dents and scratches but it did not affect the great job it does of keeping me with hot coffee all day long. Also, if I have any left for next morning, it's still warm enough for me to have a cup and the coffee taste just as fresh as when I made it. The outer lid/cup also fits snuggly even after a couple of head first drops onto the pavement. I'd buy one again if this one gets lost.
