I finally decided that I must purchase a steel press because I managed to accidentally break two glass presses. So, after searching for a while, I stumbled across this Nissan steel press, and, overall, I am fairly satisfied with it.
I only have a few complaints. First of all, it is a fairly large press; and, since I only use it for myself, I think I could have used a slightly smaller sized press. Also, with the steel press there is really no way to measure the amount of water that is going into the press. In the glass presses there are measuring lines that run up the press; not so for most of the steel presses. I have managed to overcome this dilemma by using a Pyrex measuring cup to measure the amount of water that goes into the press. Finally, I am a bit concerned about what I need to do when I need to order any additional parts. Do I have to order directly from Nissan? I'm sure at some point I may need a new filter.
Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase. This press will not break. And that was my main motivation for buying this product.
