Customer Review: Cold Winter Hike

I purchased this thermos after a friend recommended it for keeping liquids warm even on the coldest winter hikes. I've taken this thermos filled with hot tea on day hikes in the White Mountains in the dead of Winter, in temperatures in the single digits. There's nothing more fullfilling than reaching the peak of a mountain and viewing the splendid panorama of the surrounding moutain range, and on top of that be able to take a drink of warm tea is just icing on the cake. The peak of the mountain is dramatically colder than the base of the mountain and all along the way my tea stays nice and toasty.
The only con that I have is that if the thermos is filled a little too full when the lid is placed on it the liquid makes its way up into the cavity of the lid where the lid screws on and tends to leak until all of that excess liquid is gone. A little messy but well worth the hassle. Just don't fill it too high.

I really like this mug, compared to anything else I've had it is one of the only mugs I've ever used that is truly leakproof. Throw it in a bag, drop it on the ground, it doesn't matter. Nothing escapes out of this. The only other mug I've had that didn't leak was a mug from REI, but it was only 12 oz and had a lid that still required unscrewing. Not on this one. Full 16 oz capacity and just hit the spring loaded button to release the lid to drink.
The only downside to the mug is the lid is fairly hard to clean. There are a lot of "extra" surfaces that may collect grime over time. As it is for now, though, I'm extra careful to not leave dairy in there for any length of time and wash the mug carefully in the mean time.
Summary... Great mug which would be absolutely 5 stars if the lid were just a little easier to clean.

I bought this for my morning commute to work, where I needed something that was 100% leak proof that I could easily toss in my bag without worry. This little guy totaly fit the bill, and has exceeded my expectations on all fronts... except one, hence the 4 star rating. The blue silicone stopper in the top lid is a light blue color, which is pretty at first. But after only several weeks of use, this is starting to stain as a result of contact with my coffee. While purely cosmetic, I really wish they would have constructed it out of a material that didn't stain, or made it a darker color that did not show the stain as much.Customer Review: Hot all day

I love this Thermos bottle. It keeps my coffee hot all day. I have not tried a cold drink yet, but if it works as well for cold it will be my constant companion year round. I also like the fact that you can lock the lid down in case the release button gets pushed accidentally. The only drawback is that it does not fit under my Keurig machine so I have to brew my coffee in another cup and then pour into the Thermos.Customer Review: Finally a true commuter cup

This is all that it claims. Non-spill and keeps a beverage hot all day if needed, though my coffee usually doesn't last that long. This was rated as the best commuter cup of the year by a very reputable company and it is well deserved.
