Read the other reviews - they say it all. I am back online ordering another one, as this is a fantastic product.
Most important Pros:
* Keeps hot for hours
* Drink from any angle
* No dribbles
* Tough (steel will dent, but won't break like a cold plastic tumbler if dropped)
* Has a "detent" to let you know when you are opening the lid too far. (others note this as a "con" but really the detent gives you a gentle "click" when it has been opened too far).
Most important Con:
* Lip inside prevents scrubbing by _hand_, but a bottle brush does a great job at cleaning the whole thing so I just use a bottle brush now instead of the washrag.

This is by far the absolute BEST coffee travel mug I have ever owned. On Christmas morning after I opened it up, I poured some pipping hot coffee in it.. Then I got busy and forgot all about it for 3 hours... I went back took a sip, and it was HOT.. I mean real HOT!! It was amazing. I was so happy, I carried it with me all day. It fits right in our car cup holders with ease. I cannot say enough great things about this travel mug. Thermos GOT IT RIGHT!! Its the one that DOES NOT LEAK.. NOT EVEN A DROP! If you need a travel mug for your drink, buy this one.. it is worth EVERY penny. I am so happy. I bought 2 of these. One for myself, and one for my wife. I will buy 2 more and pack them away.

I have owned the Thermos E5 for more than a year. It is about the 10th stainless travel mug I've had. Several have been good, but none holds a candle to this one.
Proof! Tonight I filled my cup with hot coffee at 7:30PM. We went to a restaurant and on the way I drank about half the coffee. When we arrived I screwed the top down and left the mug in my car. The outside temperature was 10 degrees... cold! When we came back three hours later my coffee was still hot. I don't mean warm, I mean hot. I couldn't believe it.
If you want the best travel mug in the world, buy this one. No drips, no leaks, you can drink out of it from all sides, and it keeps the stuff inside HOT, no matter what.

This mug is very easy to drink from because it is fitted with a 360 degree cap that absolutely does not leak when screwed down as far as it goes. Just back the threads up a turn or so and you can drink from anywhere on the lid. It has superior heat retaining ability, with hot drinks still being very hot eight hours later. The wide base won't fit most cup holders, but it is easy enough to close it down and just lie it on the seat next to you. The only thing I wish Thermos had done differently is to have a wider mouth for ice cubes, but the narrower mouth is also what keeps things hot, so it is a trade-off. The carbiner is a nice idea for attaching the mug to a backpack or even a belt to go hands free if needed.Customer Review: What, hot coffee after 6 hours?

It is 11:56am as I write this review, and my coffee, which was poured at 6:45 this morning, is STILL HOT! This cup is amazing. I gave my girlfriend a list of 3 factors that I needed satisfied in a mug.
1. No leaking
2. Keeps coffee Hot
3. No handle
True, this mug only satisfies 2 of the three, but it does that ridiculously well! I commute 1 hour each way on the bus, and my mug doesn't leak even jostled around in my purse! I love the way that it keeps my coffee hot all day. So much so that my coworkers make fun of the fact that I am still drinking coffee at 2pm in the afternoon!!
This is a great gift for the coffee drinker in your life.
