Customer Review: Handy little home washer!
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm single, live in a New York City apartment, and hate laundromats. When the basement laundry in my building was shut down (again!) I looked into something to do my laundry at home and after some research settled on the Wonderwash and the Mini Countertop Spin Dryer.

I've only used it once so far (it arrived today) and I'm quite pleased. It's still basically doing laundry by hand, but this makes it a little easier and probably gets the clothes cleaner, plus I don't have to scrub my sink first. It even gives me a bit of an arm workout!

My sink is big, but not big enough for the Wonderwash with the handle in place, so I removed the handle. I put in a little detergent, put it under the faucet to fill, screwed on the top and just turned it with my hands about 100 times. No problem. Then I opened the top, tilted it to drain some of the water to lighten the weight, lifted it out and put it on the counter to put in the drain tube. Then repeated the process twice with rinse water.

It works exactly as advertised - not as easy as a home washer/dryer but it makes home laundry easier and more efficient in a small size.

Customer Review: Just trying to help others.

When I was looking for a small portable washer for my apartment i had a lot of trouble finding reliable product reviews on items. This product had some good reviews so I purchased it. My apartment has a laundry room but it costs quite a bit to wash clothes for a family of 4. We were spending about 75 a week in quarters for laundry. I found this and it was cheap and i took a chance. This thing really does get small items clean and it really doesn't take that much effort. My kids wear school uniforms to school and those things are very pricey so we only have a few sets of each for them. My wife spends 10 minutes a day to wash a couple uniforms and put them on the drying rack. Its clean, quick and easy. Not to mention cheap since it can handle 2 uniforms with only a teaspoon of detergent.

A point I must stress is to use too little detergent rather than too much. Most people use 5-10 times the required amount. Try washing your clothes in just water a few times you'll see how much is stuck in the fabric. This machine can only handle about 5 pounds(wet) of clothes so like 2 towels and a couple rags or 2 pair of jeans max. Large items such as bedding etc can't be used in this thing. But for day to day cleaning it works wonders.

i never post reviews of products, but this one is definitely worth taking the time to write.

i can only wear my work uniform for two days before washing it because i sweat so much in it and because of that, i was hesitant to buy the wonderwash. but i did anyway & was pleasantly surprised by how clean my clothes got. i put the fabric softener in with the detergent & then just rinse with water and they come out ridiculously soft.

the only thing that's slightly annoying is the lid but i can see why they had to design it that way, and after the second or third time of struggling with it, you get the hang of it. it is all made of plastic but i don't see how it could break very easily since the task it's built to perform is so simple. mine came with a back up handle, which was cool. they sent me a cheat sheet for how much water & detergent i should use & maybe i put too many clothes in but i needed a lot more water then they said i would, so you'll probably be better off just taking the time to learn what's best for you instead of going by their calculations.

i absolutely love this thing & i'm glad because i really hate laundromats :)

I bought this as backup to my small Haier portable hitch to faucet washing machine.. Good thing I did.. Neighbors snitched about washing machine.(over 55 place ) ridiculous because it doesn't alter anything in apt and all one story.. told by mgt. that "we have to pay for the water" which was their reason for no no.. so.... have wonder wash. going like crazy..I like to do two rinses..last one with liquid softener. little tough on towels because they are heavy but doable. (I use my Haier for spin) Just read that you are supposed to use HOT water. Haven't used hot water for years not even with this machine, clothes are clean..maybe I'm crazy but I think they come out nicer and cleaner with Wonder Wash... but maybe I'll go back to hot water...
IN Summation.. good machine.. cleans even with cold water... guess I still won't have to spend $28.00/month at apt. laudromat. HA!

Customer Review: I'm in love

I do not like sorting and keeping laundry. I despise doing laundry so much, that I accumulate until no more can fit into the poor washing machine. I hate hauling down dirty clothes and hauling clean clothes up again. I knew there had to be a clear and present solution to my problems

WONDER WASH!!

I wash my husband's, my daughter's, and my dirty clothes for the day at night while my daughters are getting ready for bed. 2 minutes, dirty water comes out, 2 minutes, clean water comes out, in the drying thingie these guys sell as well, and on hangers they go to dry. Next day, I take the hangers (which are already uprtairs) and put one day's worth of clothes back in the closets

THAT easy!!

Oh, and I'm saving tons of water, electricity and detergent as well :D
