Customer Review: Better for measuring liquids than solids.

I agree with the reviewer who said that the sliding part moves, especially if you are packing in brown sugar, or something solid. They seemed to work flawlessly for me, when measuring liquids. They are nice to have. You get 2, and each measures exactly the same equivalents (both measure tsp/TBS and fractions of a cup).
They are magnetic, so they're handy to keep on the fridge. If you are thinking of putting them on a wish list, I would mention that the price of them fluctuates often. Some items on Amazon change frequently, and others stay relatively the same. I think they were about $6 when I put them on my list, and more like $12 when someone got them for me. Reasonable at either price, but something to keep in mind.
Description of Dalla Piazza Nu Sc?p Measuring Cup, Set of 2
Make a little room in your kitchen for Dalla Piazza's space-saving Nu Sc?p (new scoop). This patented scoop combines both tablespoon and cup-size measurements allowing you to scoop ingredients measuring 1/8- to 1/2-cup (and 2-to 9-tablespoons), while saving space in your kitchen. Plus, save additonal drawer space and store the scoop on your fridge using the built-in magnet behind the cup. To use the scoop, select your desired measurement, fill the scoop with your liquid or dry ingredients, adjust the rubberized lever back to prevent spilling while transferring your ingredients, and push the ingredients out of the cup using the rubberized lever. To clean, turn the scoop over and push on the designated area to separate the front of the scoop from the back to ensure thorough cleaning. Place in the top rack of your dishwasher or wash by hand.
