Ok, I love this item. It does one thing and it does it well. Makes hot water.
Very fast and efficient. Great for instant coffee or tea, instant soup or just when you need hot water to clean. I keep one by the sink in the bathroom for hot water for shaving.
An electric kettle works just as well and does more water but if your needs don't go above a single mug then this is a great unit. I also keep one in the garage for cold days where a quick cup of coffee would be nice.

I was so impressed with this product, that I purchased 2 more as a gift and for the office. It's great to be able to fill your cup with (filtered) whatever, pour it in the top, and hit the button. By the time you've gone to select your tea or get the creamer, it's practically finished. Generally about 60 seconds per 8 oz cup.
It usually comes out so hot that if I don't want to wait for it to cool, I throw an ice cube in there to bring the temp down. However, some may like it hot.

We have been using this Hotshot for a couple of years. It was a Xmas present from a friend who has been using one for over 20 years; obviously this is a newer model. It has replaced my cumbersome teapot and now my husband uses a French press for coffee instead of a coffee maker. So our kitchen seems a little less cluttered. It's very quick, even at a mile high. We leave a 2 cup Pyrex measuring cup in it. No leaks in ours!Customer Review: Great for preparing baby bottles!

An unlikely choice for baby supplies, but this has worked fantastic for warming water for baby's bottles. It gets way too hot on its own but if you do a half & half mixture of the hot shot water to regular room temp water its perfect. And it heats the water super fast, (in mere seconds)wh ich was the downside we found on our other option of bottle warmers which can take up to 5 minutes.Customer Review: Tea Drinker

This is my second Hot Shot hot water dispenser. I heat water for tea more quickly, easily and safely than using the microwave oven. This allows me to heat my teacup before putting in the tea bag. My grandchildren can make their own hot chocolate or heat water for a cup of soup. I am buying another to take in my travel trailer.
