This was a replacement for an older hot shot that I owned. I always loved my hot shot but I like the replacement design better. It took me a few days to get used to because some of the buttons had changed position but the change is better because you can no longer hit the heat button in error and the buttons are not as flimsy. I also love the machine in black. The appearance is much sleeker and it won't stain as easily.Customer Review: Quick and convenient

My wife and I have used the Sunbeam "Hot Shot" for quite a few years now. It's just the two of us, and my wife cannot drink regular coffee. This makes the Hot Shot a very handy item to have. You can heat anywhere from a regular coffee cup sized portion up to a travel mug sized portion in less than a minute, making "instant" coffee truly instant. We use this Hot Shot almost every day. We use ours for oatmeal, Ramen Noodles, tea, hot chocolate, cup-o-soup, etc. It is faster to use than a microwave, easy to keep clean and convenient. I would recommend one to everyone. I've had mine for about 6 years and it's worked flawlessly. I bought one this past Christmas for my newlywed daughter. They love theirs too. I have been using the Hot Shot Water dispensers for years, always have a back up, so when one wears out ( and I do wear them out, usually every 10 years))have one to carry on, then order another one.. there is not one day it is not used, when going on vacation one goes with me... Being English, I drink hot tea daily, best little dispenser ever.... need boiling water immediately, you have got it....Customer Review: I'd never be without one of these

I've had a hotshot since my friend told me about them back in the early 80's. I'm on my 3rd one now, this one.
So much easier than pulling out a big kettle when you want a cup of cocoa. Just make sure you drain out all the water, open the top and let it evaporate. If you want to fill a travel mug which won't fit under the spout, try dispensing into a glass measuring cup.
