The HotShot is a great product for occasions when you just need a cup or two of boiling hot water. It is perfect for making a cup of instant coffee, cocoa, or hot tea and is of course perfect for cereal that requires hot water. It is simple to use. Fill it with water (up to 16 ounces), push a button, after 30-40 seconds you have boiling hot water. Finally, push on the dispense lever and you have your hot water. It doesn't get any easier than this.Customer Review: great purchase

This is the third Hot Shot I have purchased, and it was for my daughter-in-law. I have absolutely no complaints about this product. The initial purchase is still working, it just lost its top cover, so I know the inner mechanism lasts over 10 years! I use my Hot Shot twice every morning. The key to repeated immediate uses is to fill with COLD water. The only suggestion I have would be to make it taller so taller mugs can be filled with more water.Customer Review: I use it every day.... multiple times per day

I've had this product on my counter for years. Although I've had the leakage problem others have discussed, it's been after more than a year of very frequent use. I'm OK with replacing it every so often. It's great for when you don't want the boiled water produced by most other water heaters. Water is perfect temp for coffee makers (i.e. Aeropress) which need lower temp water. It's done in 90 seconds. Enough for 2 cups of coffee or tea. Enjoy!Customer Review: Love it and it saves energy

I love my water heater. We use it many mornings for making oatmeal, tea, etc. It heats faster than other options. We also tested the energy use with a Kill-a-watt meter and found that it actually uses less energy to heat one cup of water to this temperature (190 degrees I think) than either the microwave or a two eye hot plate. So now we use it quilt free. I liked mine so much that I bought one for my grandmother. She loves it too.Customer Review: The college student's life force.

This is an awesome product, the only thing I don't like about it is that it tends to leak water now and then, but never much. I use it for tea, coffee, hot cocoa, and (no college student's life would be complete without) Ramen! Since I have this now, I can't really remember what I did without it. It is so convenient to not have to keep heating a tea kettle. If you're thinking about buying this product I recommend highly.
