Sunbeam has returned with a better than ever "Hot Shot Water Dispenser" I purchased a Hot Shot when they first came on the market at least ten years ago and then they disappeared. The water actually boils in the Hot Shot and that is the only way to make sure you have the best cup of tea. I highly recommend this unit. If you need more than one cup of tea/other hot beverage ... don't worry - this unit takes under a minute per cup. And it fits nicely on the kitchen counter.Customer Review: Love this product

I love this product and couldn't survive without it. I bought one for my mom and she feels the same way. We have one in the kitchen, 5th wheeler, mini-camper, office and my husband has one at work. All of mine are still working, I just move the oldest unit to a not as popular place. The last unit I purchased because I needed a black one because of the changes made in my kitchen....but could never find one locally....small town until it showed up on Amazon. We have owned this product for several years. My daughter insisted on one to take to college. Her roommate, when she transfered out, asked for one as a going-away present. It is a great little appliance and I am so happy it is now in black as we are just about the renovate our kitchen and the white wouldn't have match. However, if it was just in white my wife would have insisted on it anyway - matching or not. We can't imagine not having it handy every day.Customer Review: Science Fiction in your Kitchen

~OMG~ this device completes me, it was the only appliance in my college dorm room. No Tv, no fridge or microwave, just the blissful elegance of the Sunbeam, gleaming brilliantly like a summer morn - enlivening each day, stimulating me with the rich aroma of tea, rice noodle soups, delicious dehydrated beans for luncheon, etc. After mine was pitched, I entered a black period, but now with the elegant new model (with improved functionality), I am whole again.Customer Review: Hot and Fast

The Sunbeam 6170 Hot Shot is a great idea. It only does one thing - heat up to two cups of water, but it it is very fast and the water is very hot, having been brought to a rolling boil. For tea or instant hot drinks it is very usefull. This is the third one we have owned over probably 15 or 20 yrs. I took one to my office. The prior ones were a little diferent design but the new one is fine also. Each one has lasted like 10 years and had lots of use.
