This is the 4th one I've bought. I have one at home, one at work, one at my mom's and then one for my boss. I've had both models, the old and the new, and love them both. I pretty much follow the instructions and only put as much water in it as I'm going to use and don't leave water in it, so I've never had a problem with leaking. Also, I've NEVER had a dispense lever break off. I do agree that it would be fabulous if it would accomodate a taller cup, but that's a small hitch to get around. My brother-in-law has had one of these time savers for several years. After a recent visit with him I decided I needed to have one as well. My wife travels about once a month, and when she is gone it is a pain to make the morning coffee using our large Cuisinart brewer, especially having to do the cleanup. With the Hot Shot I can make a cup of hot water for instant coffee or tea in just over a minute, with little or no fuss. The best part is the water is hot, not lukewarm as the regular coffee maker tends to become. I love it!Customer Review: Handy little energy saver!

I really like this little Hot Shot. I had an electric kettle before and was looking for a new one when I found this. It takes up a lot less room on my countertop than the kettle did and it is super fast. It boils water for a cup of tea in 30 seconds and it is really boiling. Just make sure that you place your cup directly under the spout or things can get a little wet. I bought one for my son and daughter-in-law who are heavy into recycling and saving energy and I would definately buy another one for myself when the time comes.Customer Review: Great Product

I have used the Sunbeam Hot Shot Hot water dispenser for years, I love it. I was getting tired of using the water in pot to boil route. However, the Hot Shot I received this time leaked water out from the dispenser container. I called Sunbeam and they mailed out a new one the same day. I did not have to return the faulty Hot Shot nor were there any added charges. Great Sunbeam customer service. This really was the first faulty Hot Shot I purchased. Absolutely love this product! I made the purchased two weeks ago - with the intention of using it to make hot water for tea in the office. For the simple purpose of heating water VERY quickly, you can't really get a better deal. A couple things to note: 1. It can NOT warm up soups, etc. 2. All hot water must be drained after every use 3. You can not adjustable temperature (Boiling water only). That's fine w/ me ... since I can definitely wait a minute or two to cool down before putting my sencha tea in my cup : )
