Customer Review: Love My Hot Shot!

I do not like heating a tea pot on the stove in the morning before work as it's a ceramic stove and stays "hot" long after the burner is turned off. Not safe for "naughty" pets that may jump on the counter from time to time! Also, microwaved water is NOT the same....it cools too quickly.
The Hot Shot heats a mug of water in about 60 seconds and it's BOILING HOT too!
Also, it takes up very little space on the counter and it's not hot to the touch on the counter.
It's wonderful if you need "HOT" water for recipes too! Quick, easy to use, and the price was right on Amazon!
ps. I had a Hot Shot many years ago and I forgot how much I missed having one!

This is a great item if you simply like to brew up a single cup of tea in the morning - at home or at work. I've had my original Hot Shot for over 12 years (for work), and decided to pick up another one for the house.
The original was white, while this one is black. The new model is much quieter, just as fast and a bit more stylish. My only gripe - the dispense button requires a bit more force than is necessary. The older model was easier to use in this respect.
That's it's only quirk. It's way faster and surely less energy consuming than boiling water on the stovetop. Sometimes I even pack it for road trips and bring my own tea with me. A total steal for the price!

We have a Hot Shot that is at least 15 or more years old that we received for a Christmas gift. We love it so much that we bought one for my Mother-in-Law for Christmas last year (2007). They love it so much that they mentioned getting another one to use at their summertime camp home. So we bought it for my Father-in-Law's birthday in August, 2008. So now we are a 3-Hot Shot Family.
It is so easy and fast to use, and if you have an electric stove, the Hot Shot also saves on the electric bill. It is great for a quick cup of tea, coffee, instant hot chocolate, or any other beverage that is made with hot water. I would recommend this product whole-heartedly.

A friend introduced me to the Sun Beam Hot Shot a couple years ago. Before that time I would fill the kettle put it on the stove and wait for what seemed forever for the water to boil so I could finally enjoy a cup of tea. However with the Hot Shot all one needs to do is simply pour the amount of water the cup will require into the top of the Hot Shot, depress the activate button, and wait about 45 seconds or less...and wa-la...you have a cup of steaming hot water. It is worth every cent I paid for it and when I wear it out I will buy another one...as they are just wonderful.Customer Review: I LOVE this thing!!!

I had originally purchased a cordless electric kettle for heating water. While it did work, it required a minimum amount of water which was more than I ever needed and took a few minutes to heat. This is SO much more convenient! I can premeasure just the amount of water I need before I add to the dispenser and it literally heats it to boiling in mere seconds!! This is so handy for any "instant" food...oatmeal, cup of noodles, mashed potatoes, and hot cocoa to name a few. This is definately one of the best and most used appliances I own. I highly recommend it!!
