I bought this because it was a great price and I've never owned a stand mixer. I received it just in time to make all my Christmas cookies and it was great ! My kids have used it many times over as well. I like the weight of the glass bowl, and we've used two of the three beater attachments successfully. There are much more expensive models on the market, but for the first time user, I was not disappointed.Customer Review: Great starter mixer!

I am a college student, so the kitchen aids were a little out of my price range. Looking around, this was the cheapest, good sounding mixer, so we tried it! :) VERY happy with it! Only thing it can't really do is double recipes, but you can just make one recipe, and then use another bowl for it, and make the second. My mother had an older edition of this Sunbeam mixer. When it finally gave out, I really wanted to get another one as I knew how good this machine was. I have not yet used this particular model but am certainly looking to using it. Sunbeam is an excellent brand and from past experience know that they stand behind the warranty. I've been using my Sunbeam mixer for almost a year now. I use it at least 4 times a week, and each time I use it, I congratulate myself for the purchase. I mostly make breads and cakes. I love the fact that the bowls are glass - they are easy to clean and fit for healthy cooking. I use all the attachments and love the fact that they are sturdy and easy to clean. I received this just before Thanksgiving, so it's already had a workout. I LOVE it! It's quiet, powerful & easy to use. The only thing that could make it even better was if it also had metal bowls (glass is best for some things, but for everyday use I'd like unbreakable metal. No big deal, tho.) Much less expensive than it's competition, but does a great job.
