Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Steam Buddy Handheld Steamer

Customer Review: Product is Worthless! Save your money.
Summary: 1 Stars

I recently received the Steambuddy for Christmas and tried it out immediately. First thing I noticed was it left white residue on my clothes. The product is cheap and flimsy. It does not work!!! Luckily I wasn't the one who purchased it. This is one of those items that you will either donate or have it sitting in your closet.

Customer Review: Might as well splash hot water on your clothes
Summary: 1 Stars

Instead of steam, this thing spits out hot water. No matter which angle I hold it. Don't waste your money and ruin your clothes with this thing.

Customer Review: Steam Buddy - A useless piece of junk - A real scam.
Summary: 1 Stars

My Mom gave me the Steam Buddy for a X-mas gift. I tried using it right away. The read light came on when I plugged it in and went off as expected after about 15 seconds. But then nothing happened. No steam - no matter the position of the steam button. I tried repeating the process several times with the same negative results. I find it interesting that there is no manufacturer name on the instruction information.

Customer Review: Can't I give this Zero Stars?
Summary: 1 Stars

Like almost everyone says, SAVE YOUR MONEY. If you MUST try it, you can get it at a local "Bedding/Bath" Store (get it?) and pay no postage and then return it pretty easily. I'm about to try a different type, a Sharper Image steamer, but will try to find reviews first. Probably it's back to the ironing board!

Customer Review: Horrible
Summary: 1 Stars

This product does not work...you have to vary the pressure on the button to get it to steam in any other way than a dangerous burst. Well, just how much pressure or how little? Who knows? I tried it for ten minutes and got nothing but the huge, short spurts of steam or a half a second of light steam--no continuous steam, and no wrinkles were eliminated. In fact, the only thing I got was frustrated at every attempt. Don't waste your money. Don't waste your money. Don't waste your money.

P.S. One of my beloved rayon tops has water stain on it now thanks to the Steam Buddy. Unbelievable.
