Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Steam Buddy Handheld Steamer

Customer Review: Doesn't work
Summary: 1 Stars

The 'ready' button kept going on and off.
The 'continuous steam' option didn't work. (You're supposed to 'press lightly' on the button; nothing happens.) It only did the 'burst' of steam, so I had to keep pressing the button, over and over...

I tried this on a medium weight silk drape. After going through one reservoir of water, it didn't take out a single wrinkle. I'm going to return it.

Customer Review: It works.

It works just as the video shows comes in so handy every one should have one

Customer Review: Garbage
Summary: 1 Stars

We tried it once and absolutely no steam came out. I wish I had read the other reviews in here before spending money on this worthless piece of trash. More steam comes out of the kitchen faucet.

Customer Review: piece of junk!
Summary: 1 Stars

I bought this at RiteAid and thought I would give it a try for my curtains. I turned it on, it smelled like horrible burning plastic, and about as much steam comes out as if you were to turn on the hot water for a few minutes. The water also spills out of the water container and drips all over. The steam button is hard to press and all in all it is a HUGE waste of money!

Customer Review: Worthless
Summary: 1 Stars

The Steam Buddy is worthless. I am one of the fortunate souls that purchased the product at the store. I bought the first one and the Steam Buddy failed to even heat! The instruction manual said that it would be ready after a few seconds. I waited well over 10 minutes to see if I could get steam to come out of it... No.

I went back to the store and exchanged it for another one. This one took about 5 minutes to heat (after the light indicator came on for a seocnd time - meaning that it needs additional time to reheat). I was able to get puffs of steam to come out, but it didn't help in steaming out the wrinkles in one of my dress shirts. Needless to say, I took it back for a refund.
